LOL  sorry mate I couldn't resist. They are similar but someone over at Skoda was wearing sunglasses clearly.

Hope they set you with the vrs alloys now that you've used them. They are better looking.

See I prefer the monte ones personally! That's 2 things they've messed up on this car :(

Oops

Can see why the mistake occured but it really shouldn't!

Hope you get it sorted mate and don't feel too down about it, you'll enjoy it loads while you own it :)

LOL that's incredible

Its a bit annoying really, the factory messed up the maxidot, can't even put the same alloys on the car! Does make me wonder what else has been 'overlooked' on the PDI =/!!

Sounds like yours is definitely a Friday car!

If it was mine, I'd be rejecting it!

I'd be taking it back and complaining to Stephen mate.

Though different alloys on either side is a new one on me!

That's shocking! So you have two Monte alloys and 2 vRS?

That's another thing to check when I pick it up. I'd demand a full new set of Monte alloys and perhaps some free servicig since you've had other problems too. Regardless if you like/dislike the vRS alloys it's what's on the car standard

Which dealer was it Adam?

I prefer the Monte ones, they don't have that silver ring round the edge that makes them look kerbed/unfinished.

Funny thing is the dealer will probably have to foot that as they failed to pick up on the PDi.

Either that or they have been swapped at the dealer prior to delivery

You say all the dealers in South Wales are poor - have you bought a car from them all? :D

I bought one from Sinclair Skoda in Swansea, and they were great.

Though, I wouldn't bother with Griffin Mill in Pontypridd either

And my Dad says the dealers in Newport are good.

Anyway hope you manage to get it sortted if they let you keep the VRS wheels I'm sure you could sell them on

Damn, one thing after the other........Maxidot, puncture and now two wrong wheels. They do say these things come in three's!

It's not the "worst" mis-build I've read about recently though. A jammy git ordered a Audi A1 122PS TFSI Sport DSG...........but got a 185PS SLine instead.

It seems that in your case the mistake probably happened at the company that supplies the alloys. And no one noticed from then on, not helped by the fact they are only subtly different.

Hopefully, it gets resolved ASAP.

Oh, just thought, could this potentially be a problem with car insurance? They love any excuse not to pay out when something non-standard is not declared (Not that this is your fault)

hi adam. soory to hear about your problems? any reason why you went to white dove rather than capitol skoda? i found them a pleasure to deal with and 2 of my work mates had yetis of them and they couldnt praise them enough. i called into white dove and didnt like the attitude on them. they offered me £1500 less for my focus and they wouldnt honour it if the car was delayed. will use them again as i'm pushing for a estate now for work. hopefully they sort out these problems for you
