Finally got the new car key today.. and successfully got the keys from the dash.. whew!!  B) B)

I paid 5930 INR (60 GBP) for the blade only.. Remote is still on its way...

And the key blade unlock and lock the car.. but it do not crank the car yet, Skoda representative said I need to take the car back to them so that they can code the blade and then I could use the blade to crank it in future..

Now, I think lot of people know how to code a new blade If I have a original key of the car with me..

Kindly help me here please..  Skoda would charge me 1200 INR + Service tax (12 GBP + Tax) for codding the key..

Glad you're sorted, well, nearly.

For the hassle of find somebody in your area, id be inclined to just pay the 12 quid plus tax.

Its not a lot of money, and you might find yourself traveling out of your way to find somebodys with good will anyway.

Ha, If its not an easy task that I could do myself .. then yeah I will take my car to Skoda in 2-3 days to get it done.. :)

Thanks for reply all the time mate!!

The manual procedure people mention to use if you have an original & a new key is purely to code it to the remote locking. Also £12+vat is extremely cheap for a dealers to quote so if i were you i'd snap their hand off!

Yup, called the guy and going to visit them on Monday to get the new key adapted..

Ahh good, was worried the interior might have taken on a 'cobweb' theme by now haha

Good news to my Fellas in India.. I just found a guy who gave me a new Remote for 2k INR only (approx 22 GBP) and did the adaptation process of the key for 500 INR ( approx 5 GBP) ..

These guys are great and could do anything with the keys..  B) B)

They just took 20-25 mins to do the whole process..

Wish I had found them before and could saved 60 GBP I spent on the key I ordered from Skoda already..

Here is the website to reach out to these guys.. (flipkeys.in)

Mods, please point out to me, If I am not allowed to add the link of their site in my above post..

or please edit it for me, if its against the rules..

Thanks

Thanks for checking but it's not a problem.

Did you actually read the posts?

It’s all been covered, but basically ‘you’ cannot get into the car without a key / breaking a window / having specialist tools.
