Octavia Buying Advice

That's very nice. I do like the FL in red. Looks almost as good as the pre-FL in red (one of which I used to own :))

I'd be stuck between anthracite and red for my next one, and I think I'd quite like a Combi....

Which dealer is it in?

Red one is in Sparshatts of Fareham

Mrs has said we should think about getting rid if only to pay our loan...

Does mean we are £300 a month better off and I'll have another Octy...

Time to think about that one we saw earlier, interestingly the chap rang me today to check I was still interested.

And an 06 plate DSG for £7K has just popped up locally!

Elegance as well.

Sounds nice. Mileage?

One unknown issue with the PD140 is the turbo, as mentioned earlier. So hopefully with a year's warranty, that will be sufficient cover and time to spot any issues.

37K on this one.

12 month warranty yes, will look at getting an extended warranty possibly to cover the turbo thing.

Literally 11 miles up the road.

If I can secure a sale on my car immediately then I'll probably go and buy it tomorrow.

Good work. Got a link to it?

Yes just need a test drive to make sure it's ok - but looks fine. There was one small scratch on the front bumper and one or two wheel scoffs but otherwise the condition was great.

Long term consumption read 60.3 for 2500 miles so I guess it's not been completely ragged about

Strike while the iron is hot and all that :D

Only just seen this, was going to add my 2p's worth on the Sport, but no need now :giggle: Hope the new wheels work well for you.

LOL :D

Go on?

I was all set for the Sport, it looked amazing, and I am very partial to Anthracite Grey.

However: -

1. The trade in for the Sport would have been £11,500 not £12,500

2. The Elegance I bought instead was 6 months newer, had similar miles on it, and was £691 cheaper - OK it's Silver but I think Silver on an Octavia is VERY smart. - Oh, and as mentioned, Elegance has a better spec than a Sport! - Didn't have the sports suspension + pegasus wheels, but actually I'm very grateful for that. The last... 5 cars I've had have all had sports suspension - will be nice to have a smoother ride for a change.

So, the net result was - £400 to make the difference from the equity in my vRS compared to the £2K I would have had to have found for the Sport.... =/

I am really looking forward to getting it.

LOL :D

Oh, and as mentioned, Elegance has a better spec than a Sport!

As long as your happy that's the main thing

My Sport is the same spec as an Elegance, Climate, ESP, Auto lights, Side airbags, TPM, Jumbo Box, 4 lecy windows, the list goes on. The only option not put on was Sat Nav.

It was a Dealer Demo

Right place at the right time
