Engine Noise

Featured Replies

My 140 DSG is one of the quietest Carr I've owned -about 40 in total. If I did manage to revitalise to 12to16k (12000 - 16000 rpm) as suggested in a previous post I suspect after a lot of noise it would go silent. :-)

VAG dervs are quite a bit quieter than the rest of the firms.

if your ears are as good as your eyes no wonder it sounds quiet. Who has said 12000-16000

There is one thing you should all be aware of and someone mentioned it earlier, VAG engines do like oil so it's important you check it at least once a week.
