  • OEM rears fitted to a FL estate using the correct holes. I think they stick out a little too much so I might reposition with new holes.

The standard ones will fit, with a bit of warming to help it fit, or look into some aftermarket kit such as rallyflapz.

  • Unsure about estates but the standard octavia hatchback ones fit a vrs hatchback. Dealers will tell you they don't (mind did) but they do without almost no persuasion. You can almost talk them on!

Well if I can get the fronts sorted thanks to Fubar then he won't be the only VRs in the UK with rounded flaps....

The colour of my plates enforce my rarity in the UK

I remove it from my Octavia, look much better without, so I can sell it for few pounds if you like

Introducing the front rounded Octavia mud flaps that 'SUK' says do not exist!:rofl: After tax and translated to GBP £12.71.

:finger: SUK!

This confirms the part No. I assumed as mentioned above.

After launching this query with SUK this week, I feel like sending them this picture or the link.......

Work away, it stinks of the old UK VRS's not being able to spec folding mirrors saga too! I imagine that the UK market buys the most VRS's over any other country in the world (at a guess having never seen so many elsewhere). We should at the very least expect to get the same as everyone else.

Fubar stop this right now. I have kids and a mortgage to pay for!

Where u get them?

You don't even have to travel far to see such offers, the Irish are getting a better deal on the VRs.

They got on the FL option for folding mirrors and higher spec a standard but only 17" alloys. Many claim that it's better deal but have you seen how much they have to pay for them? :giggle: It is similar to the blackline but without the extras being free. Customers are forced into having pre selected options, gives them a better speced car but also pushes up base price, ultimately some people who could have afforded the UK spec level can't buy one and miss out. In the Netherlands a stock VRS CR TDi is €45K ish on the road due to taxes, even though base price is cheaper than UK. As a result they are very rare as people who can afford that for a car will go get a BMW for a little more. Here you see greenlines in the same frequency you see VRS's in the UK. UK seem to have best deals over all but no need to hide options and parts from its customers.

If I can't find a UK dealer willing to supply a full set of mudflaps, ( & many thanks for publishing the part numbers! ), do you think that your local dealer would be willing to order them for me & send them to a UK address?

Failing that, msaybe they could send them to my brother-in-law in Zuid Scharwoude!

Yea it seems to just be SUK saying no for no apparent reason, considering from what I can see the rest of Europe is allowed to buy them. Your brother in law should easily be able to get them in any Skoda dealers in NL, my one would be further away than the UK from him lol.

What about the rears ?

I always found it crazy when I couldn't get a phone kit without DSG however the head unit was fully phone compatible.

The rears are freely available in the UK (I have them on my Blackline) which is why I took it up with SUK as ludicrous. :wall:

What about the rears ?

Rear ones are available in UK for no logical reason front rounded ones or 'Style' ones are not.

A bit more pricey but can get fronts here...

Those are the pre FL front square ones, the FL rounded ones which people are having problems getting are the same part number but with an 'A' on the end. 'KEA 600 002 A' The ones in that link are the ones I have on mine from supplying dealer when I ordered car. They are widely available in UK too but cost more than the rounded ones are they are listed as an accessory rather than a part so twice the price ish.

Just realised that....on third wine so eyes are a bit squiffy!

I am behind you not had anything yet, LET THE WHISKEY COMMENCE!

Meant to mention earlier the bottom left of pic as it is above of new flaps says part number then 10.2008. I assume this means that is when the part started which would be bang on time for FL coming out, over 4 years in production and UK gets only half of the set!

Thanks.

B I L also has a weekend home in Milsbeek, Nord Limburg, is that any nearer to your favourite dealer?

If not, then I'll google for a list of Dutch Skoda dealers, we'll be passing through &/or possibly staying somewhere in NL later this year so shopping anyway for groceries, collecting some car parts wouldn't be a problem.

(Going to Germany again, but probably going to take the Superb, it's a nicer car for long distance travel!)

I think if you find a dealer in Europe you wont have any issues ordering them, it only appears to be the UK that has the issue. In fact you may even find them in Ireland but I haven't tried that option.

Crips, the sun has hardley set over the yard arm! Good find by Fubar-I had to stick the squuare ones on mine B&F were circa £45 for all 4. The rounded rears as.classed as OE and from memory are about halfthe cost of the square rears so any increase in cost for postage from europe should be at least oartly offset by this, though TBH I don't think they are the best as my vRS still gets mucky with them on, though they do protect.the areas immediatly behind the.wheel arches from stone chips so they're better than nothing IMO
