VRS rear mudflaps

Featured Replies

the std bumper on the mk11 f/l looks the same as the mk11 vrs pre f/l bumper so the would the later ones fit on a early mk11 vrs ???

as they look better.

The profile is indeed the same so in theory, yes they should.

Although the older square profile looks err... older, it also looks as though it will do a better job of catching err... mud!?

  • OEM rears fitted to a FL estate using the correct holes. I think they stick out a little too much so I might reposition with new holes.

The standard ones will fit, with a bit of warming to help it fit, or look into some aftermarket kit such as rallyflapz.

  • Unsure about estates but the standard octavia hatchback ones fit a vrs hatchback. Dealers will tell you they don't (mind did) but they do without almost no persuasion. You can almost talk them on!

washed the car today and after bending down to clean the bumper bit underneath I was amazed how many stone chips are there with only 2900 miles on it :(

been looking and can not find any rear mudflaps for the new vrs....does anybody know of any what will fit with a bit of alteration please

I have a 2011 vRS and found skoda order number KEA 600 001 Rear mud flaps fit fine fixings match you just need to drill one 6mm hole at inner liner to fix as per normal instructions provided. There is a slight 2mm profile mismatch in places but you can seal with black Silicone. Not perfect I know but will do to protect rear bumper paint until another product found.

If you have a red or blue car the I can confirm the coloured flaps out there also work as had them on my 2010 vRS but you need some fabrication skills to form/bend flat pack stainless brackets provided.

Hope this some help as no one likes to spend money on something that doesn't fit.

ps You can fit without taking rear wheels off but save skinning your knuckles and take the wheels off when fitting. Fronts ok just apply steering lock for clearance.

well thanks for all the advice especially the hot water bit, fitted them on in about 30 mins

that will stop all the stone chips ;) think ile get some for the front as well

Definitely a difference. Don't trust Skoda UK, they can't even get a 10 page brochure right.

That to me looks like Octavia Mk 1 and Octavia Mk 2

So when Skoda mean facelift they mean the 2004 redesign- not the 2009 roundy headlamp and bumper tweak.

Both are Mk II, the Mk I bumper didn't have the black non-painted strip along the bottom, also the wheel trims are Mk II.

'Facelift' does refer to the 2009 updates. The 2004 update was the change from Mk I to Mk II.

The rear bumper on the Mk II is very similar to the bumper on the Mk II FL in profile so with regards to mudflap fitment there won't be much if any difference.

OK, KEA600001 is the part code listed on EKTA for "one set mudflaps (left and right), Rear sedan/combi/4wd" along of course with the warning about not for RS. These are available from stock; 702 actually as of 13:30 today!

KEA600001A is also a listed part which I believe is supposed to be the "FL-round profile". Unfortunately this comes up as "Part Not Found" in the UK and is therefore not available for order. Suspicion is that is has not been Type Approved or something.

Back to the drawing board guys...............unless somebody reckons they can supply this elusive FL mudflap :D

Or you could go for rally flaps

all it needs now is a good clean B) (yes I am very sad)

I see you haven't got round to polishing the vents in the disks yet . . .

They are available as I've seen them fitted to FL Octavia's. Their lack of availability in the UK can't have been a problem yet as they are fitted in the factory.

Could be interesting if you loose one and need a replacement or they need to be ordered up for an insurance repair etc.

They are probably waiting until all of the 702 pairs of the older profile are gone before releasing the new ones :giggle:

Get some Sparco's slapped on for proper protection:

I've moved the back ones out a bit since this photo was taken as I'd mounted them too far in

If the rally flaps arent to everyones taste, could they be shaped to look like standard flaps?? How tough is the material they are made of?? I might consider them as an option if they were less obtrusive.

These are now available from a Skoda dealer via their eBay shop. They must have just taken a little while to order up.

So, I've now decided I'd like to fit mudflaps to my pre-FL MkII vRS.

Now both the pre-FL square profile and FL round profile are available and confirmed to fit the vRS which ones do I get!?

They are both £21.99 / pair.

Pre-FL square profile = older looking but more effective

Post-FL round profile = latest design but less effective

or for you carbon fibre tarts out there you could try these have to say I kinda like them but unsure how useful they will be.

any chance of a link to the new shape ones?

Two eBay listings, both from Rainworth Skoda in Mansfield.

A word of warning though, you should send them a message to clarify before buying as they have used the same image and part numbers for both listings (older sqaure profile & KEA 600 001).

The only difference in the listing is in the title, one has "2005 - 2009" which will be the square profile, the other lists "2009 >" which should be the latest round profile.

For the rounder flaps you need KEA 600 001 A

Has anyone got pics of black Rallyflaps on a blue FL Hatch? How easy are these to fit? What comes in the kit? Was looking into some Kaylan ones, tried the PVC ones before on my Impreza and they were terrible! Kaylan worth the extra money.

Edited by 2012vRS

anyone have any luck acquiring the FL flaps? I couldnt do it here as yet!

No, those are the pre-FL square profile ones.

Order the round profile ones from your local Skoda dealer, part number: KEA600001A
