Egr delete kits

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

Looking to get a egr deleted for my vrs, can anybody recommend any kits and how easy are they to fit?

Advantages / Disadvantages.

Many thanks, Andy.

allard do one so do jabba...quite easy to fit if your mechanically minded..advantages=stops the inert exhaust gases re entering engine and mixing with the crackcase oil vapoured air and clogging intake up...

easy fix is remove the rubber hose that activates it and it stops working...1 minute job.

Thanks for the reply, will look at allard and jabba.

Seems easy enough if its a straight swap, any problems with fault codes… engine management light?

Cheers.

Yes it causes an EGR flow rate fault code, and sticks on the EML after a few miles. Will also soon be an MOT fail.

replace rubber hose day b4 mot..:giggle:

Just tell me WHY you want to delete the EGR system please?

Older asz engine fabia`s can be mapped out so not to show the EML

Just fit a catch tank to the breather, then you don't mess up the ECU and emissions and you don't fail the MOT.

Why create three new problems solving one, when you can just solve the one. Retarded.

I questioned my tame MOT tester about this, and apparently it will only be affecting cars after 2006.
