what boot liner?

Featured Replies

I am considering getting a boot liner for my soon-to-arrive Yeti. I have ordered the spare wheel option and wondered if that makes a difference as to what boot liner will fit? E.G. will the following http://www.carmats4u.com/Skoda-YETI-since-2009-Boot-Liner-Mat-Tray/pid,12347,cid,2983556,product.html ?

Chris, I suspect it will make a difference as you have specced the spare wheel. Access to the storage bins surrounding the spare wheel is via lift up sections of the boot mat, the solid backing is cut in these areas to allow the mat to fold up. A solid boot liner would have to be lifted out to gain the same access.

I have the Skoda rubber Yeti boot mat and I would thoroughly recommend it, Part Number: DCD630002. Your dealer can order them in. The advantage of getting the genuine Skoda part on this is that they fit perfectly. The price is also fair in this instance.

The Skoda rubber mat doesn't fit properly with the spare wheel option. Only theg oem textile one fits properly. I have the spare and I'm using the rubber one even though it doesn't fit properly, as stuff in the boot doesn't slide around so much with the rubber boot liner. I just hangs over the edge of the floor behind the rear seats.

Apologies, I should have added that I do not have the spare wheel option.

And the same issue, of course, with the adjustable boot floor that I have. I, too, however, have the not-quite-perfectly-fitting Skoda rubber mat as it does indeed stop things sliding around and is highly protective if there were any spills. Recommended.

I have a spare wheel and have TWO Škoda rubber mats. Yes, they don't fit perfectly but they fit 95% - and if you really want to make them fit the excess can very easily be cut off with a sharp knife!. They normally travel on top of each other and when I fold the rear seats down the upper one goes forward to protect the seatbacks and specifically the very vulnerable leather armrests on the middle seat.

Thank you all. Very helpful.

I think i may wait until i get the car and then consider the options you have suggested.

Cheers.

Lidl have supplied me with a carpet that I have cut to shape using the existing boot liner as a template - £3.95

and a complete boot liner ( like a big bag) to cover the whole area.

I also use dustbin liners as replacable protective covers when I need to move coal and phurnecite for my fires and boilers.

May fit alright without cutting! The photo shows a Roomster, so the fit might be quite good?
