152.6bhp from a standard BLT engine!

Featured Replies

i had my car rolling roaded today at veysports in dorset and my result suprised everyone!!

15 people had gone before me and there results were spot on to previous runs at other places.

i know the BLT engines make more power but really 22BHP more!!!

the bloke who did the run said i had slight over boost as it reached 250ftLb of torque!!

the torque and bhp curve look perfect on paper but i was wondering what could be causing the overboost if there is any and if anyone else with the BLT engine has had the same figures?

i know this has been mentioned alot but i couldnt find the answer in the posts i looked at!!

As far as I'm aware and found out the BLT engine has around nearly the 140bhp mark as standard compared to the older engines used. Having said that 152bhp is a large difference still.

Yeah theres been a few on here rollered at that power, good to know its running sweet though

I'd say it's the dyno, I expected more from mine but didnt :( And mine was On the supposedly crap over reading dyno hub. I'm hoping this won't start a massive debate lol just saying :)

I know there's a Bacon lettuce tomato engine on here thats producing 159bhp as standard, so yours might be true.

Mines a ASZ and has rolling roaded at 144.

Good stuff, that's a healthy standard figure, the vast majority of PD130's make 150 or so once they're good and loose.

You could always spend a load of money and stick crap all over the engine and say "it's modded mate lol" and you'd have the dyno sheet to prove those mods are working, wouldn't make any more power tho' :)

Are all the PD130 Engines in Fabia VRS 1 BLT engines?

No pre 05 they are asz

No, just the 2005MY> as they are Euro 4. Euro 3 engines prior that were designated ASZ.

I've seen a graph of a standard Fabia SE making 155BHP using Awesome's Rolling road.

2 years ago I put my 04 Fabia (ASZ engine), on Motoscope's rollers and it made 142 BHP (115 at wheels) with 250 lbft of torque.

If you look at the Superchips graph, the PD130 produces 138 bhp in standard form. The later BLT engine, does produce a little more power, according to RRs, but most suffer from a hesitation.

The hesitation is nothing IMHO

Mine made 146 bhp on jabbasports rollers before it got remapped, vmy car is an 07 BLT engined car.

Ahh ok thankyou.

Is 1 better than the other?

Im just in the market for buying one and trying to find out as much as possible!

I would Like tok but it's a bit far and I'll more than likely be working, failing that I'll be there :)

Thats probably mine but I have now took that with a pinch of salt. Doesn't really mater anyway as the turbo has gone pop. :( . When it comes back out to play it should have 2** bhp :) Just hopeing theres no internal damage to the engine

My old one made 157.1 bhp and 259 lb/ft several times on different rollers. Standard apart from Green filter.

Mine made 150 standard

indeed, Ive seen several BLT's make 150 bhp standard

Blt has 10% more than an asz due to the egr setup

Both will map to the same 170-175bhp
