That's right, although the Fabia doesn't have a wear indicator (at least in the UK) so you'll have to snip the wire off anyway.

Also watch that the three prong bit on the back of the pad is different between the inside pad and the outside pad.....found this out the hard way on my mates car.......but on mine the EBC pads i use have the same prong!! :S

Is the part number MDB2294? On my work comp it shows them as excluding wear indicators

Available with or without the wear indicator, VRS doesn't use the wear indicator.

I ment on my comp it shows the part number as MDB2294. Which it says does not include wear indicators. Thus if he has pads with wear indicators in they could be the wrong pads. Op what part number do you have??

Will check the part number and post it when I get home. Currently at work.

So is there a verdict? are these the right pads or have I been sent the wrong ones and need to swap them.

Thanks

They look the same on the comp but it doesn't say they fit the actual vrs on my comp. Im not sure tbh

Just an update for future reference. I fitted new discs and the pads mentioned in this thread. Fitted perfectly, put them against old pads and couldnt tell the difference apart from the wear sensor wire. Cut of the sensor and good to go.

As said already, some models, Fabia - Polo - Ibiza - A2, even when having the same mechanical brake parts fitted, will have brake wear indicator systems fitted or not fitted - so just cut the wires off. For your information, VAG started off fitting cars equipped with brake wear systems, with a sensor on both sides on the front, later they changed to one sensor on front and one sensor on rear as that probably made better sense on a car with correctly working brakes.
