Castle Coombe-23rd April

Featured Replies

I hear there is an event at C/Coombe on Sat 23rd April with track time and we could have a stand.

Anyone interested as the Autometrix-VAG event in April is not on and their first one is not until July?

Nobody interested in this event as I see the Seatboys are having a stand there as well as some track time?

As there has been no interest in this I'm going to ask to join the SCN stand as there is a half price track deal as well.

There was talk of attending this purely in a spectator role, at the WSM meet today. Personally my car need some work before it can get back on track.

It's only 25 mins away for me so if something is on I will turn up as a spectator :D

i'll also be turning up as a spectator

i'm up for that as a spectator, could this turn into the next SW mini meet?

Yay! Spectator for me too... Although its rare for me to turn up to trackdays and not go on track. :)

Thats only 5 miles away

i'm up for that as a spectator sounds Good

Just up the road!

Would have to find a darn good excuse not to...

Hey don't worry...they come around quite quickly...

Just take it easy, treat it like a fast A road, leave your ESP on for 3 laps at least, mind your braking as coombe has some good braking points that need brakes.

The ESP will slow you down but it will also help, once you have it sussed you can try it off :D

I flick it on and off at various points to see how it helps/hinders.

Oddly I had it off at Anglesey when I spun.

I've driven Castle Coombe in a LOCOST racer in the wet!!

Lovely track - I'd be up for a little visit if I have time.

its sounds ok i would be interested as a spectator how much to enter??

Anybody got a link to the organisers of this event?

I'm gonna be attending this on a club stand and also on track hopefully. See some of you there then.

As colin said any more info/link?

Last time I was going aroung CC I ended up going sideways in the wet in my 306..............scoobys are quicker in the wet! :D

I'd be interested in going as a spectator. What are we looking at to get in? I'd go just to see Graeme's car on track. I still remember it buzzing past me at Bruntingthorpe, 12 months ago! :)

Watch for the XR2's! Quite a few people I know will be going. Show them who's the king of the tracks!

That will be a set of sandbagging XR2's then...

lol last time I did that I was backward exiting School on Anglsey...The Octy's good but she ain't that good. Yet or in my hands ;)

Guess I have to come down now eh? Can't have near everyone I know from forums go on a track and not see how they do eh?

lol anyone else got any tips of advice? lol

has anyone else had there octy rs sideways or backwards ... as well as colin? :D
