loud sucking noise

Featured Replies

I was on the motorway before and as i was overtaking some one in 6th gear i heard a very loud sucking noise so when i left the m/way i tried all gears and the sound appeared just as the turbo kicked in, now i'm pretty sure its a boost pipe from the inter-cooler (top) because all other pipes are fine, the air box, inlet pipes are all fine as well.

i am just wondering has any had this problem before and was it the pipes or something more serious.

p.s. not taken bumper off yet to see top inter-cooler pipe, will do in morning though.

Thanks Arron

Sounds like a hose/join is leaking, worth checking all the joins in the morning they are not the best!

Is it still performing or particularly smoking?

Either that or is your missus in the car? Thats the noise mine makes when the turbo kicks in :D
