  • Sorry to say but they have a green VRS in the showroom of my local dealership and it looks bad. I can see it being a popular colour on launch but I think people will settle back to the regular colours

Not for me I've decided. As above, it's a novelty and can't see it being a used favourite when it comes to resale.

Not my cup of tea

Never seen you drink tea Chris

There most be 2 post on the green, anyway saw this at the dealers 4 weeks ago

Was taken aback with green when I saw it at first and thought WOW.!

Now I am not so sure as I viewed a new red one in a dealers today and am so close to ordering :p

Green does not seem to show the dirt, ( live on unsealed road) and try pretty hard to avoid accidents by being as visible as possible. I know that after 3 years and 240,000km the resale will be sh..e anyway... 7k AUD balloon and its mine: seems worth every cent! wifey can then have it, if she is amenable... And that is when the car will start to have a tough life. Need to prise her out of the Toyoda first though! Driven like a Grandpa 4.7L per 100km, driven normally 5.7L per 100km. Prior work car was a petrol 2.0L focus auto that struggled to average 8.5..

900km plus between fills is great,

Diesel and DSG is a bit tiresome in conjestion/heavy traffic but in flowing traffic: a weapon of choice.

Saw a 12 plate green VRS last night with Winchester Skoda decals in Chandlers Ford last night. It had the black neptunes and a bit of cosmetic modding and looked stunning!

I also saw one for the first time this week @ skoda in oxford, a hatch with black wheels. I'd pretty much ruled out the green for the next car based on photos i'd seen here, but to be honest i was blown away by the car in the metal, especially in the bright sunshine.. awesome.

Had plenty of cars over the past 32 years motoring and this little Skoda has attracted so much attention from car enthusiasts, that I am amazed. Skoda's are a bit of a rarity in Oz, and total strangers stop to talk to me every day about VRS. By Oz standards a remarkablly economical drive for the grunt on tap...... everyone loves it, it is so weird the attention every day and plenty of 180 degree turns so if you want anomynity dont get green... and to hell with logic otherwise we would all be driving dreary Camrys and hating every moment on the road, notice how aggressive Camry drivers are, just because you out braked, out handled, and blew the door handles off them in cruise mode!!

I have succumbed to the green. Just changed my order at the dealer from White to Green. I don’t think the green is as green as it could be (similar to the yellow) but I just think it really suits the front of the car. Sticking with black alloys though.

I will wait to see what it looks like in the flesh but I will probably colour code the chrome on the grill and get the mirrors painted black to match the wheels. I have seen the spoiler in black as well but I’m not sure if that takes too far into the Focus RS territory…

I don't think the fls suit coded grilles ( note the spelling a grill is what you cook on :bandit::giggle: ) but a black one to match your wheels would be just right

I'm still in two minds but I know what you mean.

Excuse the pretty awful photoshopping but I have a comparision

The top image is the original, the attempt at green is ok but I ran out of lunch break so the chrome didn't really work out :(

My local dealership has an Octy in green. It doesn't look as bad in the flesh as I first feared, but still a definite no, no for me.

I stick by my original assesment - there is just too much green. The green works well on the Fabia and will work on the Citigo, but Octy is just too big.

Think of the Forus RS - the "special" colours do work OK on said car, but imagine those same colours on a Mondeo - just wouldn't work at all.

I do agree and it's definitely one of those 'Marmite' colours as others have already said.

I'm gonna stick with the choice and hope for the best.

At least I'll always be able to find it in a car park :S

I think the rallye green needs either a black grille or colour code - chrome is just plain wrong on this colour car IMO.

Totally agree. Nothing else on the car is chrome (apart from the exhaust). I'm edging toward the green rather than the black. Going to wait for mine and take a load of pictures for a massive photoshop session ;)

Nice but someones nicked the wheel trims!

That is a lovely looking car, green and black, well it's a shiny green I would have one of them, in fact if the colour still available when I change I will get that!!!

Is there any green on the interior??

anyone? (before I chase the dealer?) :)

dealer is your best bet i would imagine. your guaranteed the correct match and they do touch up kits or rattle cans.

You will get touch up pen no problem .After all it has been on the Fabia vRS for years. Paint code on sticker in boot near back wheel well

Like it alot thats my next taxi got a white one just now .

Saw a green estate at Sandbach services on Wednesday, not sure about the lightness of the green in sunlight (too light IMHO)....still with the way the British weather is going that will only be a problem 8 weeks in a year!

Mine has now arrived at the dealer and I had a look on Friday night.

Looks really good!

Most if not all the images I have seen really don't do it justice. I tried taking a few Pictures on my phone and the colour is way off.

It looks soo much better in the flesh. I will be collecting it on Wednesday so I hope to get some images with a proper camera that actually match the colour of the car. Really pleased with the colour choice now. :-)
