Hi,

First post and I want something!

As I regularly travel the potholed narrow lanes of Somerset and Wiltshire in my Vrs Octavia the two year old factory alloys are looking a bit sad now, lots of scrapes and dings on all four alloys. Anybody got any advice on if I can get these repaired? Where? Some of the dings are a bit heavy!! Otherwise anyone know of any secondhand for sale or deals on replacements?

I just love driving it and i'm not (yet) tapped into the local scene.

Any news of a Vrs Octy replacement? Rumours were something would be shown at Geneva show but heard no news..........

Any info greatly appreciated.....

Hi new to the site I have just purchased a 2008 superb Laurin and klement edition in dark blue with cream leather 118000 with original wheels athou the wheels need full refurb i think they are diamond cut but maybe someone could correct me could anyone tell me how many were produced in mk1s and are they a rare car I would have preferred the 1.9 as apose to the 2.0 litre but it drives just a good and coud not find this edition in a 1.9 but I don't think they did a laurin klement in a 1.9 tdi but

Generally, i dont like to be one of those people to open up another topic that has been exhausted time and time again, but after extensive research, i really am struggling to find a forum response that matches fully with my issue. I wonder if someone can help me identify the correct OEM product number for a gearbox oil change I am planning. The car is 19 years old and just passed the 50k mile mark and I thought it would be prudent to change the oil when I service it this summer. The trouble I am having is getting any reliable information from online purveyors of oil. I would like to buy original VAG oil. Mine is a 5 speed manual gearbox.
