Ahhhh! what colour?

Featured Replies

Going to be ordering a brand new vRS soon but stuck on colour. I really can't decide on which one to get. I am down to these options...

Candy White - Looks good, Especially with black alloys and cheaper

Race Blue - Nice but everyone has race blue. It's the most common colour

Rallye Green - I like it on the Fabia but not sure how it would look on Octavia. Need some real life pictures or just gamble and order it.

Can anyone persuade me to choose a certain colour?

My current one is Magic Black so don't want another and I don't like the other colours.

For a VRS I prefer the Race Blue over all the other colours.

It's just so right for a VRS!

Unless you want to blend in, then get the white. :)

Race Blue is lovely especially on a VRS. Personally think white is a little impractical! Still looks smart non the less.

Blue.

I had Race Blue and would highly recommend it.

Though if I was about to order another new one? I'd probably go for Blue, again, or Anthracite Grey - really Q car colour, but you did say you didn't like it.

I'd have to see a green one for real before ordering but I'd be really tempted.

I would be very tempted to go for the greene with the new red interior. But I would probably go safe with the platin grey or anthracite.

Got the anthracite as I had a LE Fabia vRS before and didn't want blue again. Love the grey, but of your choices I'd go blue.

blue, I have always wanted that colour but have never wanted a vRS :giggle:

I was torn between blue and white and went for blue but my next one will be white or perhaps anthracite 'cos that's really nice, sorry to add further confusion :giggle:

The green looks good on the Fab but I don't think it'll suit the Octy as much, I suggest that you try and find one at a dealers to have a look at.

I have White which I normally look after very well. However I have had a busy few weeks and it is bloody filthy. I even have the 'clean me' joke written in the dirt on my boot. It's not the most practical colour. Never again!

Please order green with the black interior. Purely for selfish reasons - I need to know how this looks to guide my thinking for my next motor..!

:giggle:

TBH the only person who can make this choice is you - you'll get as many opinions as there options on a thread like this.

I'm happy with my choice (candy white, graphite wheels, matt black mirrors) and I still think its the best option for a vrs BUT i really don't want to order the same car again next year.. decisions!

FWIW, race blue is good in that its a colour ONLY available on a vrs, but conversely it is probably the most chosen colour as a result. There is a risk that a white one looks like a photocopier salesman on call, especially with the estate version - doesn't bother me but I know some may not like this. For me, that just adds to the "stealth" appeal the vRS already has. Green, well, its an unknown quantity, but its different and you'd definitely be noticed!

It's gotta be blue, OK it's the most common colour on the Octavia vRS but the vRS is hardly a common car is it!?

If we were talking Mondeo or Insignia then it would a different story.

I've had my blue vRS for a month now and only seen two other's, one was race blue, the other was black.

It's the most common colour for a reason :giggle:

Common colour on a rare car - go for it

Blue is certainly the best compromise between cool and subtle, IMHO.

It does a nice job of lifting a rather conservatively styled car without pushing the boat out and going for yellow or green.

WHITE. :)

If you look after and wash your car regular, no problems

Although I have blue and love it I would now go GREEN!!

White is the new silver, too common. (also everyone now has chav black wheels)

Black is an arse to clean.

Blue is a bit Vectra.

Got to be Yellow.

Question is...when will the vRS get a black pack? A FL with black lights and grille would look rather mean.

Blue is a bit Vectra.

Eh!?

Somehow the blue Octy VRS seems 'bigger' to me - when I see a blue one when i'm out & about it seems somehow larger than my white Octy.

I like my white VRS but if I was buying brand-new I would struggle to choose between yellow, red and green. Probably yellow though.

+1 for Blue - I keep reading on hear that Race Blue is so common - but up here in sunny Scotland I hardly ever see another VRs let alone another Race Blue one! :D

White would be my preference - but then I did.

However if I was buying again and purely for selfish reasons I would go Rally Green with the Red stiched interior!

In my neck of the woods there are four other race blue ones besides mine...which is why my new one is going to be.....

Yellow.

White means you work for Xerox (others are available), especially in estate format, black, you have to have a passion for washing/detailing (I know I'm going there), red ok if you like it, grey was my second choice and green....s'not for me thanks.

If you're happy paying £400 extra, then blue's the best, no question.

If you've got better things to spend £400 on, get the white.

Simple as that.

In your opinion maybe - you just need to qualify your statement.

I personally felt that if I was going to spend an extra £400 on my car then I wanted Anthracite, the idea of Blue never even crossed my mind.

There is no "simple as that" with regards colour, it is totally down to personal preference.

blue is not the only color exclusive to the vrs.

the following are:-

  • Rosso Brunello metallic
  • Race Blue metallic
  • Rallye Green metallic
  • Sprint Yellow :D
