Hello all, long time no post due to being away with work a lot recently.

As travelling round the country a lot at the moment I have been getting more and more annoyed with petrol stations charging such varying prices. I was just wondering if everyone where to post there local pump prices on here it might give us a clearer idea of how much extra we get charged just for living in a different area. My cheapest local price in Crosby, Liverpool is...

Shell regular unleaded = 72.7p/l

Shell optimax = 77.9p/l

On the opti vrs regular unleaded i tried serveral tanks of opti on the run a while ago just to see if i could feel the difference, and while the car still felt good, I couldn't put my hand on my heart and say that I thought it was very/any different performance wise. Then, while initially the price hadn't seemed that different I thought, 5p/l more, 45 litre tank =

At home, north herts ul 73.9 Litre everywhere.

At work, watford area ul 71.9 Litre Esso Shell etc. all the same.

I make a point of filling on the way to/from work around watford, why pay 2p litre more at home.

All around Aylesbury it seems to be 74.9 at the moment.

Bali 50,000br and thats with a three piece suite thrown in

Nearest Shell garage has U/L at 71.7p/l - not sure on Optimax though...

BP local to home (Wootton Bassett) is 74.9 UL

St Neots and local area - 75.9p everywhere for unleaded. Who says price fixing is dead!
