the paddles are great, I use them on all the "twisties" in manual :) fantastic to blip it down through the cogs on approach to a corner when braking, then having the instant response you want when accelerating out the other side, then being able to change up at 6k (the power just drops between 6-7k if you check the graph)

Shouldn't it do that for you in S mode?

I thought a DSG would vary the change pattern to a more sporty set up when S mode is selected.

The problem with S mode is that it's keeping the revs high all the time when you don't actually need it. It's only suitable for some rare cases when high torque is continuously required, like on the track or (in my case) going up a hill with lots of steep corners. Otherwise it's pretty useless for normal roads. And even for these few cases, you could always be as well or even better with the manual mode. Doesn't bother me but I could surely live without it.

I cant see myself ever using S mode, except when demonstrating the cars abilities to friends and family. I think it will be far more fun and feel more sporty to use the flappy thingies. B)

s-mode is not how i would like to drive.. as above it holds revs too high, i.e. you will be trundling around corners at 6,800 revs ect! and it will often be the opposite, a gear too high approaching the corner, then changing down when you get on the gas!

don't get me wrong, its much, much better than drive for making fast progress down a road, really turns things up, but still isn't in the right gear for me when I want it... I have occasionally used it, as the other quote says, on a hill climb race maybe when you contantly want the highest revs, but I've only used it when I want to go fast and really cant be bothered with the paddles, or, as oforementioned hillclimb, when the hairpins mean the paddles are sometimes out of reach....

Thanks Jonny5ive, I didnt know how to post them like that

I'll take interior ones tommorrow, I'm glad I chose the tempo red interior, it was the main thing I wasn't sure of but love it. The car done its first ton today, just a short blast, I still can't believe how quick the wee thing is :D

 Like it - especially the front.

Agree on the headlights - I've just driven across Cathkin Braes in the pishing rain and dark - felt like Mr Magoo!

Really keen to see the interior as that is what I have selected for mine. Only major difference is that I went for the Dark Chrome alloys as opposed to the pure black ones (like the look of yours so now thinking whether I have made the right choice :S .)

Very nice B) the vRS looks sweet in black :p

sorry no i dont like it, you should have bought a Monty :giggle: only joking, thought id get it in before that mad Welshman B)

looking nice in black, i thought it'd be too much black but it looks very nice indeed, enjoy

since they introduced the "black pack" as standard, black has become a really good looker

Having seen it in the flesh (although it was a bit dirty) I can honestly say the stealth look is awesome. It says to me "I'm gonna fly by u, but u won't even now I did!"

Needs dropped 30-40mm though IMHO.

Very nice (of course I would say that having an all black monte :) )
