will 52 plate fabia wheels fit a 2011 fabia monte carlo

Featured Replies

got the chance of some alloys for the winter, 185/60/14 off a 52 plate fabia, me question is will these fit my 2011 fabia monte carlo as its currently on 17" wheels?

they will bolt up but not sure if they will go over the front brakes or not.

From what I know the PDC and bore size are the same for MKI & MKII Fabia....BUT on the MKII the RC of the tyre is bigger so the tyre size of 185/60 R14 is wrong for use on the MKII....see my post on tyre sizes...linky...

B)

P.S. 185/65 R14 is the tyre size ou need to keep the RC the same as OEM!!!! B)

I'm not sure if they will clear the front brakes on a Monti.

What size is your Spare, it should be 15" with 195/55/15 tyres on (same rolling radius as a 17'" with 205/40/17 tyres)

15" is the way to go

spare? those are luxury extras for todays motorist. there's an aerosol can of some sort in the boot, thats as much of a spare wheel as skoda gives now apparently.

VRS's come woth proper spare wheels still tiny compaired to the wheels on the car but better than a can of no hope PVA glue.

My hobby horse! Why allow them to get away without supplying a spare wheel?

Scenario :- Going for a ferry or plane booking. Puncture on motorway at 70 MPH, by the time you get to hard shoulder the tyre is destroyed. Ring for AA, RAC etc. with the best will in the world it'll be a couple of hours 'till they locate & fit tyre. Plane or ferry long gone. Bring back the spare wheel!!

In fact I helped my nephew purchase a year old Fabia recently and asked for a spare as part of the deal - they complied.

Size of brakes depend on engine size.

14's will fit on a Monte with an HTP engine but not a TSi or diesel.

Cheers
