Hello, I'm looking forward to using the forums and also hoping to give something back too.

I've been a member of http://www.volvo-480-europe.org/forum/index.php as I've had a Volvo 480 as my first car and it really is a wonderful car I hold dearly to my heart, however I have to get a car that can cope with a bit more distance and is slightly more economical for my work in Germany.

So I bought a Skoda Fabia Estate! It's a 2001 (51) 1.9TDi, 118,000 miles on the clock, despite a dent on the o/s/r passenger door, I'm looking forward to driving it and using it daily.

I will be based in Germany for the next 3 years so I needed something that I could convert to european headlights etc. as well as getting me to Germany and back as often as I please, and I am hoping that the estate will help me bring back a few crates of the Dutch and German golden liquid.

One of the first things I need to do is use the gutter-sealant around the back doors as I noticed a little leak/dampness but other than that I am hoping for some good motoring ahead, and with the support and wealth of knowledge I have already found on these forums I thought I better join.

I hope you all aren't too busy in the run-up to Christmas as I know I will no doubt have a few questions to ask. Other than that, I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and festive break.
