Bloody hell how about a worst insurance to go with it ! Of you youngster making up the 25% I'd be interested to know what your average insurance rates are like, presuming that you are comp of course too.

Cripes didnt know such whippersnappers were owners. I'm in the 10% and seemingly quite old in comparison

I'm really surprised to be honest given that insurance isn't cheap nowadays for a start and plus the image on the vrs isn't necessarily the first thing to inspire toward younger purchasers (with the original trouser press advert about sensible but stirring or whatever it was) or at least so I thought.

  • I'm in my 47th year and I cant leave my Fabia Vrs alone always thinking of next mod. I will say that looking at this thread and the ages of most owners I feel old Regards Whoosh

I'm 21, 3 years NCB and my insurance is about £650... Pretty cheap compared to some my mates

31 and owned the car since i was 24.

Your insurance is pretty cheap....Im almost double years on you and more than triple NCB too and around half the insurance you are paying. Considering your age that isn't bad.

Actually illustrates what a conn the insurance is :@

DRJ, relinquish your crown! I can't poll because I'm +2 years on the top age listed.

Car is slightly modded, bought as part of "retirement" transport plan which includes motor home and Yamaha YZF600R. Recently accused of being a hooligan by Focus ST driver. (My wife agreed with him!).

Why is age relevant? I agree about postings mostly the young and opinionated; don't bother much, but follow a few topics on mods etc.

Insurance is £358 comp - I think it's starting to go up again because of age!

I'm 20 :)

£900 fully comp 2 years NBC and loving me fabia

Dilemma time! It's my birthday on Friday, And I'll move up an age group, So do I put in my current age, My age on/after Friday or my mental age?

Got mines when i was 19 (now 21) with 3 points my first years insurance was £1600 :S this years was £850 with 3 points and 3 years ncd. Girlfriend was 20 (now 22) when she got hers, her insurance this year was £450 but she doesnt have any points (god knows how) and shes got 5 years ncd. Loads around our area but have to say most are 30+ and fellas.

im 33,had the vrs about a year now, still love it

19 great car, but really miss my Civic. But the insurance was the killing factor, the Fabia isn't that bad to be honest.

Thats a bit extreme. Have you got any crashes, convictions.

Feel I'd better stop 'hiding' and admit to being a 'bus-pass holding' vRS owner!!

Bought the car in 2004 after my son got one. So 7 and a half years and 73000 trouble-free miles. Just regular service items renewed cam belt disks pads tyres etc. Most recent 'jobs' were poly-bushing the track control arms and replacing a split bump stop on a rear damper.

Even after all this time it still puts a smile on my face every time I drive it.

Insurance cost me £274.11 fully comp BUT that includes breakdown/recovery insurance!! Lol

Yep i know it's extreme :/ have 0 no claims bonus and 1 accident which was pending along with no convictions. Was caught in the middle of a pile up and of course went into a big long dispute with the insurance and causing me to lose my no claims :/ also i pay monthly installments as well which makes the overal price higher... Was the cheapest i could find unfortunately :/ hopefully in June it will go down significantly as am fed up of paying £282 a month for insurance.

iam 37 and paige £500 f/c with windscreen cover break down cover and ive only passed 2 years ago ,yes i was bit late in passing test..

Just 19... and loving the VRS

Definitely looks like the VRS is becoming a car for a younger driver, I am sure that when i got mine in 07 the poll would have looked rather different. Seems the younsters are wising up to the fact that with the Fabia VRS; torque is cheap :D (I am 46 btw...)

I'm 30 im had mine for a year I got mine from my brother he ranted on how good they were , and people do laugh when I say I have a skoda but I'd get more or less any standard performance car to bring there log book along for a race , well chuffed with it couldn't imagine driving anything else now long live the skoda fabia vrs .
