Featured Replies

i'm thinking I might retro fit these or similar as I did to my mk3 mondeoo from a Focus ST.

i think the projector type xenons look better and dont blind others as much if set up right depite a very bright defined pattern compared to just HID bulb kits which just looke like what they are upgraded bright bulbs but very dazzleing to other drivers..

The only thing is the Mondy had twin round reflector lights which made fitting easier and looked better and more OEM. I 'm not sure the rectanglw shape of the Octy's light will suit it the same. so not toatally sold yet. :(

This is the best course of action... to be honest, I don't have a problem with HIDs as long as they're inside a projector housing- something that's actually designed to work with Xenons. Was so tempted to fit them to my old Civic, which had projector lights.

Not quite sure how Honda are getting away with Xenons on their FN Civic (2006 onwards)- not projectors, no washers as far as I can see..?

Don't trust those... not seen them in real life, but in practise I think they're a pretty rubbish idea. I could well be wrong. Nothing wrong with being, er, wrong. :giggle:

ach nothing ventured etc.... Gona give the 68 x SMD LED ones ago, If they turn oot sh$$ then only lost a tenner. But lets face it they cant be much worse than the standard ones eh? :smirk:

Mind you still not sure if E-marked so might need to swap come MOT which would be a PITA.

On another note I e-mailed wing mirror women on e-bay who sells new (replica I think)Skoda xenon headlights and she claims they will get another shipment after the 2nd of January.

You do realise that the dip/main headlamp bulb is an H4 not H7 don't you?

I have fitted the new Ring xenon ultra bulbs to the main beam on my OEM xenon set up. Definitely worth a try in the standard headlamps as they have improved main beam on mine quite a bit. They are supposed to be 120% brighter than a standard bulb.

I think that the Fabia boys are organising a group buy from Wing Mirror Woman over on their forum for the xenon headlamps. Made by Depo by all accounts.

Could always retrofit a set of xenons from an L&K, Elegance or WRC model... if you can find some.

I've been searching for agessss. They are like impossible to get hold of. I am surprised there's no after market company that makes them.

There is, an eBay seller called Wing Mirror Woman has been advertising them recently.
