  • Ordered a set of BBS RW's today, fitted as standard on VW Polo Dune. Mines will come with BBS centre caps, searched high and low for a decent set and these ones are clean and never been refurbed.

I like presents!! Thanks again Lloyd.

I may have missed something but why did you change your headlights?

  • Author

Had to sell parts to buy parts, sold the headlights, rarb, top boost pipe and spare 312's so I could buy a hybrid and fmic.

Ah good plan :) bet it will go well once it's all fitted :)

Not going to make huge figures but it should be more reliable than the standard setup.

That's quite a refreshing approach :) most posts you see are all about headline figures. Enjoy it :)

Steering wheel looks very nice :)

Your MOT tester will be in trouble if that advisory is spotted,as a missing air bag is a fail.

Two years it's passed with it at two different testing stations, and a de-cat fitted. Tester did comment on how well the car's looked after though.

  • 5 weeks later...

Awesome. Looks like a great bit of kit :)

Just hope it's not too noisy.

That's why you have a volume control on the stereo :D

Won't be noisy...........as long as you keep your foot on the clutch haha!

Mines not too bad, just a bit embarrassing at low speeds in a car park or something like that :(

Flywheel and clutch fitted today, as expected it's noisier and a heavier pedal than standard but at least it'll cope with any increase in power I add.

Looking good there bud, got a great list of mods coming together now :P

Ordered new hoses for the fmic, old ones look a bit tired/oil fouled from previous owner.

Great updates, Kenny B)

New top boost pipe, 51mm 45 degree from ASH. Ordered yesterday morning, dispatched in the afternoon and arrived this morning, can't get better service than that! SFS hoses should arrive next week.

I'm sure you've said before, by why did you ditch the Allard pipe? Still considering my options for a replacement top 'un...

  • Author

At the time I wanted money fast for a turbo and fmic so the Allard pipe was sold along with my xenons, rarb and a spare set of 312's. The Allard pipe group buy turned into a bit of a nitemare leaving me out of pocket and nobody wanting to buy them due to the price. The 51mm pipe gives a bit more clearance in the engine bay compared to the 57mm Allard.

Fair shout. Will keep an eye on your progress dude.
