How Fast are Briskoda?

I'm actually beginning to debate whether to actually go now or not. Clearly my car is going to be far too loud, and I've left it too late to get sorted. :(

Phone a couple of motorsport companies, find an exhaust decibel killer, pick it up Saturday, slap it on Sunday, arrive for fun Monday. :)

For example:

Merlin Motorsport at Castle Combe do a "Merlin Mild Steel Muffler", top of page 53 in the catalogue. (how's that for service!)

It's an extra muffler you attach to the end of your exhaust to lower the decibel level.

Come on, sort it out !! :D

PS. I've got no idea where you are based...

@BossFox @devonutopia

My EML is on atm for a glow plug fault. However i have xhanged the glow plug (number one) and the EML light is still on. Any chance of clearing it for me on Monday? ;)

Cheers,

Come on Harry

Dont throw in the towel yet

(is that enough Bruno connections?)

I'm sure there will be some one who can either post it today or you can pick it up before Monday.

Google Search 2 (Oval):

Just remind me - Are your end pipes oval?

This looks easy to fit and they do next day delivery. Granted it might cost a bit extra for a saturday delivery but you can salvage the day after all. http://www.advantage...e-exhausts.html

Thanks for the hyperlinks. A mate is bringing a proper dB tester to me later so we'll see what the results are. TBH I'd be better just not going than spending the fuel and expense getting it sorted if it's too loud. Gutted

I'm still going to come, not going to be put off by this. I'm not convinced of the accuracy of an iPhone dB meter. People have said in previous posts (in this thread) that their cars are louder and have passed tests easily. Would shoving rags up the exhaust not hinder my performance though?

You're not actually that close. Decibels are not measured on a flat scale, it's a curve.

So 100 is not 5% more than 95. You are quite a bit under going by that reading.
