Has anyone out there got a towing bracket fitted for a caravan yet on an Octy 2? Anyone tried this towing yet too?

Did you have to go through the dealer if so how much did they skin you for!!!

You can get a witter towbar for the Octy 2 http://www.witter-towbars.co.uk/ but Id worry about the electrics they appear to be much more complicated.

I'm not sure if the 3rd party retailers are fully up to date on the electrics. Im hanging on to see what happens as I dont need a towbar right away.

You guys think you self lucky. i have just taken delivery of my Mk2 Octy Ambience estate and nobody has yet made a tow bar to fit it. Witter have said that the one for the Hatch there is a problem when when trying to fit it on the estate

Thats bad news as I'm hoping to order a Octy 2 estate at the weekend and will need a towbar fitted :( What about the Skoda towbar is that not available ?

I am waiting to source towbar and electrics for Octy 2 Estate.

I have been quoted

HI with referance to the above,

You can get 13 pin adaptors which convert to two 7 pin sockets, try looking at www.towsure.co.uk Regarding the witter bracket as the estate is proberbly the same as the hatch under the bumpers for mounting points, my witter fitter said it would proberbly fit.

With the Skoda Towbar they should supply you with the 13 to 7 pin adapter as part of the kit. Otherwise there are plenty of places you can get them.
