Could give it ago yourself? Buy 6 meters from eBay, cheap stuff and watch the youtube videos. If it is no good, pull it off!

i tried once with one of my old GTIs... i failed! .... tho i have alot more modding experience now and could prob do it, im not sure i can really be arsed! lol Im not to flexable any more as i broke my back a couple years ago so get stuck easy crawling round a car :'(

try kent auto film i have used t hem on all the cars I've had done

looked into this for my 2010 estate but have decided instead to go for the blinds (bout £100 for set). A neighbour has them on his car and they look well and can be removed/fitted in seconds.

I am not a fan of modding a car where it is difficult to revert to standard.

they look quite good have you seen them in person? whats the quality like?

I've just gone for vanstyle (its a brand) blinds - seem popular on Briskoda - an OK alternative

Does anybody know what type I should get. I'm looking to get the OEM look that some fords and vw's have ie normal at the front or very slight tint and slightly darker at the rear. I dont want limo black. I just want a nice look that I can still see through at night. I was looking at 70% IVT 30% light Ultra light film but have no idea what that means or would look like in real terms.

my neighbours, 2 kids 18-19 years old, done their Astra with window film in about 2 hours ,outside on the street.

The car looks amazing!I was impressed

Since then I always wonder, how hard can it really be?I was tempted to do my car

The Vrs have a slight tint to the side windows already, I've read to tint the front ones anymore will put them over the limit even with the lightest shades

Don't they go by light smoked, smoked, dark smoke then limo? Then you get the colors?

yes, is a 3% tint,my elegance octy has too

any front tint will make them illegal. I've never tinted front windows as my dad works for visa and would go mad but when i got my vrs they was already done he kept moaning at me but i left it had it 4 weeks and got pulled got a £30 fine but could have been a lot worse and i had to pull the tint off at the side of the road

never once been pulled for my very light tinted front windows on my bora. i to believe there is a tinting film now that allows a light tint and allows over 85% light in so thats going to be hunted down for the RS. they will be testing it on MOTs soon according to the MOT stuff we get sent to work so that will put pays to all the dohnuts that have limo tinted windows up front. As long as you dont TTP round these ways your left alone by both panda and traffic po po.

Again anybody got advice about what all the tech speak about window tinting is as one claims a percentage of light let in while others claim how dark the tint is as a percentage so dont want to buy a tint thinking i'm getting a tint letting 85% light in when it turns out its tinted to 85% and only lets 15% lght in if you know what I mean? Confused .com :S
