Sussex Police Race Blue FL VRS!

Featured Replies

Scared the carp out me the other week as it came flying past - was just about to give chase until I saw the blue lights (which incidentally look great with the blue paintwork - tres' chic!)

Sneaky so-and-so's - I'll have to be careful; can you imagine the ignomy of getting knicked by a rasher driving an identical car ? !!!!

Oops - where did you see him? I'm in Hove

was just about to give chase

Why?

lol does that mean if you see me driving past I should expect to be perused.... you'll end up making octy owners (with the greatest coloured car known to man) thinking you are the police. How mean!

Perused? Surely you mean persued?! :-)

Why not?

Because some people have a perception that people who joust/race on the public roads are idiots?

...and some people need to get a sense of humour and take a comment with a pinch of salt; I'm hardly going to chase after somebody or "joust / race" them because they have the same car!

I'm 46 not 18!! :-)

Moving on.................

Well, you could've said you were just joking. I wasn't the only one taken in by it!

Glad you appear to have a brain.

Moving on indeed!

So you've never been overtaken and put your foot down to catch up?

Absolutely not, it's a stupid thing to ask someone!

I cycle 6000 miles a year on these roads and I'm fed up of people treating the roads like their own personal race tracks.

You wouldn't have catched me anyway Wardth I was trying to go so fast that my new stick on Police vinyls from ebay would bond. Pleased you liked my eBay blue lights too. Result

Get off your high moral horse and don't tar everyone with the same brush. Find me someone on this forum that doesn't like to put their foot down every now and then; it doesn't make them an idiot or dangerous.

PMSL!! If they were eBay lights they were bloody impressive!

Fair play to the rozzers - they have an R32, 1 Series, 3 series, A4 and all kinds of other stuff in their unmarked "pool". No place to nide!!

Read what I wrote again, and get a grip.

I didn't "tar everyone with the same brush". Putting your foot down, aka, making progress, is different to too much testosterone i.e. the "I must follow him because he overtook me" syndrome.

It's pathetic.

Calm down girls it's only the internet

I think some people need to get the humour bypass re-attached :dull:

What's wrong with choosing to make progress at the same time as someone else then? That in itself is not dangerous as you appear to be inferring. What is dangerous is people who drive like knobs or people cycling on bikes with no lights or high vis clothing at night, undertaking stationary traffic, weaving in and out of traffic, or going so slowly that they cause a tail back.

Right, that's me off out now to do some impreza baiting.

I used to work with a guy who when he said something stupid and was challenged would say "I was just joking". Easy get out I guess ;)

But yeah, if it was just a joke, so what.

But deciding to go faster because someone has overtaken you is a bit sad - only in my opinion I suppose.

yes sent from phone in work bored lol. Don't you mean "RTC" above :p or are you just refusing to use current terminology?

Yep, the rozzers don't like to refer to them as accidents anymore, now they are called collisions.

Same as they don't chase you anymore, they prefer to pursue you, political correctness gone mad :giggle:

Yes the Rozzers like their vRS's on the south coast - I regularly see them along the A27/M27, they've already got at least one race Blue one and I've also seen them in an Antracite one.

There are a few round here too, I've seen a couple of Race Blue pre-FL vRS's. I often get an intent glare as I pass marked police cars, I reckon they think I'm one of them :giggle:

Anyone know if they are petrol or diesel?

Are they factory standard (apart from the lights etc.) or do they get uprated brakes etc?
