Another bit of information they don't tell you in the handbook!

Thanks

It's mentioned actually in the book ... not very clearly, though.

When I was shopping for a second-hand superb, two sellers assured me that it only parks to one side. Was glad to find the instructions in the book. :-)

My manual (on page 118) says (my emboldening):

Switch on display of the park assist in the information display*

– Press the button fig. 127.

– Drive past the parking row up to maximum 30 km/h and with a

distance of 0.5 m to 1.5 m fig. 128.

Operate the turn signal for the driver's side if you wish to park on this side of the

road. In the information display* the search area for the parking place is indicated

on the driver's side.

If the button is pressed above a speed of 30 km/h, the display appears in the display

of the instrument cluster as soon as you drive slower than 30 km/h.

Manual came with my '58-plate Superb II 170CR DSG Elegance. Yours is a later model, but I'd hope that the Owner's Manual wouldn't be subject to cost-cutting! :)

 Must learn to become a better reader! You've both correct it's there in black and white (on page 124) in my book (May 2011)...

Wandering off hanging head in shame.... :'(

Thanks for this information guys! I have to admit I missed that one in the manual. I'm a little over a week into the ownership of my Superb combi 2.0TDI 140 Elegance and loving it!! Still trying to learn all there is to learn though! One other tip I'm looking for if anyone can help - is it possible to get the wing mirrors to fold automatically when locking the car with the remote? Sorry in advance if it's just another thing I didn't see when reading the manual!

Not as far as I can tell, aside from keeping the locking button held for a couple of seconds - which is what I do. :)

Thanks Ray. I'll try that.

no waiting

have you tried your columbus voice control yet.

Unfortunately not.

That is not quite true as Kufatec? make a control box to enable this - but IIRC they are about £120

Thanks Gismo68.

But I'll probably go with Ray's tip - holding the lock button for a few seconds does the trick so I can live with that!

Once, may be twice - tbh I didn't use it that often in my previous car
