Does the Greenline have longer gearing?

Featured Replies

I've found that the OBD-II speedo is spot on accurate.

Samsung Galaxy Tab + ELM327 OBD-II scanner.

GPS readout: 100km/h ±0.1km/h

OBD-II readout: 100km/h ±1km/h

Maxidot readout: 105km/h ±1km/h

Me and some of the guys over on VWWaterCooled have worked out that with the stock diametre tyres on the car, the actual measured speed is quite nearly spot on.

The speedo readout shows higher than actual, however thats for legal reasons.

Picture this:

Australian highway speed limit is 110km/h. Now, when you're doing 110km/h by the speedo, you're actually doing 105km/h... Safe from the LIDAR. ;)

But if you're doing 110km/h by the GPS, the speedo reads 115km/h, and subsequently no room to correct your speed... Not safe from the LIDAR.

As well as the fact that you can do 1-2km/h over the 'limit' and feel okay about it! :D
