Does anyone choose Ventilated seats?

Featured Replies

Its just about the only option that I havn't selected but its not tempting. Just wonder if anyone has actually gone for them and thinks they are brilliant (so I'm missing something)?

Seems alot of money for something that would only be used on super hot days but you have four windows and an air con system?

Thought about cooled seats but did not think that they would be necessary in Scotland!!

I've used them on a Saab, driving from Sweden to the UK in the middle of summer. The best thing about them was that they seemed to stop your 'groin area' from getting too sweaty - but as a general rule, I would say the climate control would be perfectly adequate. The guys following me in similar cars but with standard seats didn't seem to have any problems.

I would love these and would definitely tick the box if they were available on a car i was ordering......particularly if i was having leather after having a car with black leather previously!

I went for the ventilated seats, but as I got the car last September I've had little opportunity to put them to effective use. That said, I was surprised at the cooling efficiency when I turned them on with the higher of the two speed settings, considering they suck air in rather than blow air out. 30 seconds was enough for replicating brass monkeys. I did also like the fact that the rear seats were ventilated leather too, even though they don't have ventilation control. It makes the interior look balanced.

Do you have a photo of the ventilated leather?

When I get my car I will let ou know what I think as they come with the L&K trim.

Got ventilated seats, as with leather seats I was always sweating and sticking to the seat. Will report when I try them in warmer weather. Only tried them today for few minutes and had to switch them off as they were getting too cold.

Think about it, just add a few curries, and we can all ventilate seats :giggle:

I live in a very hot region and have never found that I needed more than the available air conditioning system. Our winters are very mild so the heated seats are also an unnecessary gizmo (haven't even tried them out on my Superb).
