Clap's Fabia vRS

Featured Replies

Hi guys, Just bought a fabia on a bit of a spur of the moment, Was in the right place at the right time, and managed to pick it up for a decent price.

Its not in great condition, but nothing that cant be fixed with some tlc.

I plan to do the normal sort of mods to it, but we will see as time goes on.

Anyways here it is after a quick clean.

Decided to get the wet vac out and have a good go at the seats, always amazes me how much difference it makes, left compared to the right :)

And it always surprises the amount of dirt that comes out

Also got hold of some genuine xenons, they have eyebrows on, bit undecided on them. for the sake of a few quid I'll probably get them sprayed black, and see what I think of them then.

Looking really good mate! Youre making some nice progress, this reminds me that I need to rent a wet vac and sort out my seats and carpets soon!

  • Author

Yeah I didnt think my seats were that dirty but I thought I would wet vac them anyway, cant believe how much better they look after!

Was planning to make alot more progress this weekend, but what with it being bank holidays and things means the parts wont turn up till later next week, So having to keep it off the road for a week.

And back to using my little 1.0L Polo :giggle:

looks great!! how long did it take you to do your side strips? and have you got a photo of the finished state!? is it worth it?

and how much if you dont mind me asking ?

How did you get genuine Xenons? They very rarely come up for sale!

They took forever to do, easily 4 hours from start to finish. In some parts the paintwork did get damaged, But I'm having a full respray on the car so I'm not to bothered. So I would probably say it isn't worth incase you damage the paintwork.

Orignally I saw them on ebay, But the seller didnt live to far from me, so I went and visited him to make sure they were completely genuine. And from memory I think they were £350 :)

Nice car. Personally would lower it an change the wheels but I prefer all cars lowered.

tbh if you have just had the car re-sprayed why are you using t-cut, a very big NO NO!!!!!!! you just need to keep it topped up with wax :)

  • Author

Once the paint has dried properly, you then cut the paintwork using t cut or similar. then polish, glaze and then wax. Thats how you get the best results from it. :)

That's good progress mate. Really like the results of the respray.
