  • The way the firmware work are (they are in order of release ignore the no's as a higher no. doesn't necessarily mean a newer firmware) 1004 - Original Firmware 1024 0904 - From here down is A &a

  • Skoda has more than one revision D equivalent: 1Z0 035 680 A - hardware C3/C4A which is called revision A. Latest official firmware is 1024, unofficial - 2684, modified - 3814 3T0 035 680 - hardware

  • Yes they do work. I got a cheaper deal with vw on updating mine than Skoda offered me!!

Thanks, KBPhoto
Today, the Columbus says 3/8, 5/8, 7/8 after a 5-6 km trip where I left the engine running for half an hour or so, before returning home.
Will monitor this over the next days.
Think I will wait with the antenna for now.

It's rare to see all the visible satellites being tracked even with a roof antenna.

Looks like you've made positive progress for now.

Had my Superb for just over 2 years now. On Saturday we went to Bath and parked in an underground car park. When we came out it took the GPS a few minutes to settle down, at one point it said we were in Germany. It's fine now.

Where is everyone looking at the Satellite info? Ta.

Turn on Columbus.

Press 'Map'

Press 'Map' again to bring up split screen.

Press the header on the new window.

Scroll down to the last item.

Press that.

See attached file for a picture I took earlier...

GPS has now worked perfect for the last 2 weeks.
Can't think of any clear solution that made the unit start working again.
It took about one month from I upgraded the map till the GPS was back in business.

Hi,

I've got a 3T0 035 680 E/HW H61/SW 3984 unit.

What's the max version firmware number i could safely upgrade to and would it ok for me to install the v11 maps on it.

Thanks

Not much to be gained updating the firmware but you can definitely go to 4120 as per www.rnsfirmware.com, and possibly beyond, and yes you can update the maps.

You could go to firmware 5270 (or 5274 if you can find a good one) and v12 maps (8195).

My Superb was running similar levels to yours but I upgraded again a couple of months ago and all is fine.

OK, I'm about to "reset" things on my Columbus - want to wipe all the music off and start again etc.

My unit is:

3T0035680B

H42

4120

Can I or Is there any reason or anything to gain by upgrading the firmware any higher before I begin?

If I'm wiping things anyway then that is obviously the time to do firmware upgrades etc.

Cheers.

If it were me, I wouldn't bother updating.

Neither would I. Nothing to gain.

Cheers - I shall not bother then :)

Hi, i'm new here.

could someone tell me what firmware to use on my RNS 510 3t0035680 h11 fw1104

i would like to get POI on it with latest posible fw without coding it

Thank you

You'll need a modified firmware for older units.

3810 definatley exists and I think 4020 does as well.

Make sure it's for older units though.

It'll also wipe the HDD to create three partitions.

hi

any idea where to get it from?

Thank you

i have forget to say that i have my RNS 510 fited in Superb 2 2011.

does that make any difference in what firmware to choose?

Thank you

No. The fact that there is no suffix letter after your part number is a key indicator that you'll need an old firmware.
