Also being in Nottingham would Shark be the best place to have it fitted?

Just seen on Sharks site, not even worth buying one at that price? - Cruise Control Fitting - Tired of SPECS cameras? Give your feet a rest. For a variety of VAG vehicles - from £95 + VAT supplied and fitted.

I paid Shark £200 to fit mine, that was including the cost of the stalk etc. However that was quite a while ago, and I think their prices have gone up little bit since then.

Tech1e did mine for £150.

I've seen the kit on ebay for around £65 from skoda Mansfield then go on fabia-vrs.com and there is also a guide to help you install it.

Cost me about £65 and I fit it entirely myself, mostly using the guide on favia-vrs but also a few other sources of information also...think it was about a few weeks from new too lol

I made sure to terminate it properly too ... not just spliced the white wire in the loom

It wasn't just taking the new car apart that scared me the most on doing the job, it was removing the explosive airbag ....

Speak to Tech1e or Unit 18 =]

Or just attempt it yourself if you have a moderate amount of skill/intelligence/balls to do the job :D

It's the balls I'm worried about lol! I think im going to brave it out, and be a man.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk.

Just disconnect the battery before fighting with the airbag. ;)

Still doesn't stop the balls twitching while handling it with the facing "exposive" signs, bearing in mind we are still in an era where they seem to frown on mobile phones at petrol stations even though I've yet to see anyone manage to blow one up with one :D

I removed an airbag from a vrs along with the steering wheel a while back from a scrap yard, was told it had no battery on and the car showed no sign of life, it was stacked 3 cars high anyway so didnt check, got it all off fine, only when i climbed the ladders at the front of the car seen the battery was still firmly attached!

When refitting i still took the battery off my other car to be on the safe side, only when you put the battery back on and turn the key you get a little shock for a second.... everything seems fine here... yep... give it a little pull... yep nothings gone off... give it a little push.... *BEEEP* horn goes off, **** myself.

But on the other hand (I was told) a guy that worked at jaguar was doing somthing on a customers car when the airbag went off, he was leaning in the car at an angle when it went off, broke his neck and killed him.
