My Brothers Felicia LIVES, was RIP

Featured Replies

My brothers old Felicia was picked up by leebuyanycar.com last week.

The car had been sat on his front driveway for nearly 12 months after its MOT expired. He had owned the car for what must be about 5 years. 3 Owners from new, and 65K miles IIRC. Rust was the biggest problem, the sills were in a bad way.

She was very stubbon and refused to be loaded onto the transporter, the back brakes were stuck solid and it dragged off the drive and onto transporter, the brakes did eventually unstick but not till the car was on the flatbed.

Picture of the car once loaded onto the transporter below, just before departure.

RIP: S690 KFP

He got a good price for it as well, more than some running ones are selling for. He would of got more had the car had alloy wheels as well, but sadly they were steelies with the original 4 skoda hubcaps, one removed to try and release the brake by hitting the wheel with a rubber hammer.

The sad passing of another Felly! Probably soon to resemble a current challenge show - the cube.

they dont crush cars into a cube anymore at my local place sadly. :wonder: i really wanted to see a car i once owned being crushed into a little cube but they use this giant flailing machine thing which literally smashes it into tiny fragments nowadays

^^ that's savage

:( Sad news.

That's a mean piece of kit! Frustration whilst working on different engine issues could well, at times, have driven me to consider this as a viable option (Tom please note on the old 1.8T transplant), hope you resolve the gearbox issues by the way.

Now if you worked at that shredder wouldn't you feel compelled to find out what you could put in to jam it??

How much he get for it?

My old felly had been on the drive for about a month by the time it sold and it had the same problems with the rear brakes stuck on.

Is there something about the Kent sunshine that brings out the homicidal in some of you??

Better way of destroying a block than putting a conrod through the side of it I guess LOL

Is everyone on here from bloody Kent or something?

It will be bloody if the other two live out their fantasy,

Don't need the sunshine for that.......you've never met the ex, nor the mother-in-law. :p

Hmmmmm, the mother-in-law! I wonder if the cruncher has a strategically placed viewing platform?

There's a video somewhere on Youtube of a bloke demonstrating one of those crushers, and he looks ready to fall in - well dodgy. Messy, too, I'd think.

Quick update to this,

The car still lives, I have no idea where it is but someone has taxed it for 6 months and its listed on the insurance database. I guess the place that bought it managed to get it sorted properly.

The enquiry is complete. The vehicle details for S690 KFP are:

Date of Liability 01 08 2012

Date of First Registration 25 09 1998

YES S690KFP IS showing as insured on the Motor Insurance Database today.

B) Fantastic!
