Even if the car was taxed immediately upon removal (march), surely the date of liability should be 1st of September. March<or part thereof>, April, May, June, July, August being six months tax. There's a month missing somewhere :S :S

I agree its odd, but remember the car had been Sorn since July 2011 and uninsured from December 2011. Maybe the tax needed to be backdated or something, we will never know.

Quick update to this,

The car still lives, I have no idea where it is but someone has taxed it for 6 months and its listed on the insurance database. I guess the place that bought it managed to get it sorted properly.
