  • The amount of times us vRS owners need to check our oil it may well be worth it

  • It's almost too simple for a step by step, but I'll see what I can do The hardest part was working out how to remove the existing bonnet strut

  • Milotec sells them http://milotec.de/in...c64983fa7fe7e72 scroll down the page ^^ and installation instructions: http://milotec.de/media/content/pdf/Fabia%20II%20Facelift/58305_11_2010.pdf?XTCsid=

How come you can't install them on your S2000-bonnet :<?

Bonnet will be too light. Also might snap. (Carbon fibre)(?)

32K-Did you sell them in the end?

The bonnet is of thinner aluminum so I was afraid of warping the bonnet with daily usage.

The gas struts have been sold mrgf.

Get a pic up once there on mate. Might invest in a set.

Will do, auto lock etc working ok?

Got mine fitted today pretty simple to fit took about 15 min although my bonnet seems to sit slightly higher on the left when the bonnet is down yet flush on the right?

Thought it was maybe rest on the yellow slot so removed it and still the same.

Anyone with any ideas?

Alright mate. Been mega busy lol.

It's all working great man. Thanks again. The bonnet struts are a nice touch as well.

Just got a letter through from FedEx.

£8.20 VAT charge and £12 clearance fee so £20.20 extra on top of the £47.

Hoping I don't get this as mine came yesterday !!

The letter didn't come till Friday and I got my struts on the 24th!

Seems like FedEx decide to deliver it then ask for payment unlike Royal Mail/parcel force/ups who ask you to pay before giving you your stuff.

Ah great not looking forward to that !!

Looks like another members had a letter through with the 8.20 + 12 release fee so any members looking at these will need to take this in mind.

Crikey, was thinking of ordering a set until I read about the FedEx bill looks like the total cost just jacked up to about £80 that's a bit steep, shame that.

Could try and ask him to send it via another type of delivery just as just normal post rather than FedEx and it might slip through but it's a risk you would need to take.

Thought it would be worth mentioning it though so others have a heads up.

Have a look at these http://www.sgs-engineering.com/car-boot-tailgate/skoda  They mainly list tailgate struts, but they also do custom ones, bought a set from them for 6N1 Polo bonnet, a few years ago, great service :)

Thanks nige8021 :-) I will check them out
