airconditioned glovebox - vRS

Featured Replies

The online brochure says it has an airconditioned glovebox, ive never noticed.... is ity like the mark 1 with a mechanical switch to turn it on ?

Mine doesn't have it. I never mentioned it to the dealer.

Mine doesn't have it too. But the glovebox has a dashed circle for the connection place, maybe all we need a pipe and vent :D

There is a big round switch inside that if you turn it it allows cold air to circulate in the glovebox. I though all Fabias got that.... no?

My octy has that, not looked in Fabia.

My SE+ has it. Not used it though...

Mine and my GF's have them.

Yeah, my Level 3 has it too :) Maybe it's cost cutting?

The mk2 vRS definitely has it. It's nothing fancy as you say, you just put air con on and open the inlet with the hidden dial to allow cold air to circulate. Used it last summer for sandwich lunches.

that IS the aircon function - its connected to the air vents, thus when you turn that to open the hole and you have the air con on- Air Conditioned glovebox!

Or if you have the Climatronic you have a Climate controlled glovebox. :giggle:

I'll have a more detailed look at my glovebox :)

Mine does not. But my old fabia (ambiant) did. I think they stopped putting them in the facelift S and SE. The Elegance, SE plus and VRS does

No switch on my facelift Fabia (Ambiante spec. - level 2).

My Mk1 Fabia had it, never used :D

off topic.........Yo Dave, all oK ?...........back on topic

Just looked at mine on the VRS and no switch. There is a circular hole which has a piece of plastic in it but it looks like you would have to push it out to discover anything. Trouble is if there is no switch behind you will be left with a nice hole. Has anyone tried to remove it?

Both my MkI and MkII vRS have air conditioned glove boxes...here's a pic of the location in the MkII

mmmmm...............Intresting, does your car have Air Con with knobs you turn or Climatronic, digital Air con

The wifes out at the moment so i'll check hers later.

thinking, Climatronic you get the cool glove box, knobs you turn you don't.

According to the Skoda Website The Air Conditioned Glove Box is Standard equipment on the Fabia MkII Vrs

Sounds like you've been done

Climate Control Air Con....i.e. the digital display

this is the same as mine, completely blanked off....

Dave "Do you have Climatronic Air Con, i.e. Digital or the Air con with dials/knobs you manually turn"

The A/C will never be going on in mine at the cost of around 5mpg.

i can live with a UK temp of around 24 degrees celcius.

The Ice Box in the boot does a better job at keeping the chocolate and stuff cold IME.

Don't have clima bit I do have the switch so it is not a clima feature.

Dave, you are looking in the right glove box aren't you :giggle:

Just been out to check the wife's Vrs and it has got a Air Conditioned Glove Box.

I think only them with Black roofs have a cold glove box
