It looks great in the pics. Need to watch out as we seem to be starting the S4 appreciation society.

I know. I'm going to calm down about it now. Just keep this thread ticking.

  • I've just finished paying for our house this year, so very happy. I would recommend The ONE account if your serious about early repayments. I repaid our 20 year mortgage in 7 years and saved a small f

Very nice indeed. A white 'Black edition' Avant with the 5 arm rotors is probably one of my ideal every day cars right now. Seriously be looking at one for myself next year (with a stage 1 tune). Did you go for the Sports Diff, drive select or dynamic steering out of interest? The first two of those would be prerequisites for me as well as the lovely panoramic sunroof which ive become totally used too now. :) Looking mighty fine anyway and best of luck with it. :)

Updated with spec in initial post

You need to update your car info in your profile too

S4 v vRS - I personally wouldnt do it as they are in different leagues, both price & engine wise.

Am glad that the car has lived up to your high expectations, & that version does look very nice.

Classy. Like it

Top pictures Nicky

Nice car Nicky, very much on my radar this year. Will be very interested in reading the full review when you get a few more miles under your belt!

Don't forget APR do a few tuning mods for the S4, remap & upgraded pulleys get you close to a 400bhp beast!

I haven't got the balls to remap this one. If something went wrong . . .

I'll quote you on that when you get it done later in the year then :)

Looks very nice indeed.

Well I was going to remap the vrs after a few years and did it after a few months! I've seen a revo video of a stage 1 S4, it nailed an RS4.

Does amaze me that the combined MPG figure for the S4 Avant is only 3mpg less than the 2.0TSi DSG vRS. That's one impressively efficient engine they're produced there

I shall put that claim to the test over the coming months

Personally I'd resist the temptation. The 3.0T isn't widely used like the 2.0Tsi so it would be a bit of a gamble I reckon as the maps wouldn't be so proven. The use of superchargers on VAG engines is probably less well understood by tuning companies hence more risk and it's a £35k -£40k car at the end of the day. It would be expensive to fix if it went wrong.

Lovely car by the way. Seriously considering one of these next too

Very nice indeed.

Bro in law had an rs4 and rs2 - mates got (sorry had..stolen) a rs6 - really like the rs's but for 'value for money' the S is sort of a bargain!

All the best with it.

That's lovely. Very nice choice.

:)

Nicky, as most of the FL changes are mainly at the front & back can you post a couple of pictures showing them. Also love the wheels BTW.

Also, what sort of deal did you get? wondering what sort of discounts etc you managed to wangle with various dealers, if any!

Yes I just need to have time to block out the number plate. Probably tomo night now.

Managed to get about 7.5k off in total including 2300 towards deposit from audi financial services. The campaign has ended and the deals aren't quite as good. I phoned 20 odd dealers to get this price though. The dealer I used was 200 miles away!

Nice review. Looks great. And I think you've done the right thing going for the Avant - always look better to me, compared with the saloon.

Enjoy B)

+1. Avant styling much nicer than saloon. Very, very nice. Enjoy it!

I tend to agree now I've actually seen both.

Although I'd be saying the opposite if I had a saloon I'm sure.

The Avant styling is much better IMO. Too many Audis around in saloon guise and all the models look too alike.

Car looks nice, but maybe a thread for "Member's Cars" ?

Did you consider the RS4?

I believe the S is like a bridge model between that and the regular run of the mill cars. Or is it the Sport version?
