Do I, or Don't I?

Featured Replies

thats relly wierd as adding swmbo to mine when she passed her test (21 too hink) brought my insurance down, infact has done on all my quotes since including the 4x4

i currently include on my policy swmbo and dad because they both lower the cost and also swmbo's sister simply because it made not a penny difference

If I have to change, I'm going to have to go for either fun (like a cabrio) or utter practicality (like diesel estate) but I think If I bought another Octy I'd forever be comparing it to the vRS. And I couldn't stick anything less than the Furby vRS because quite frankly it's way too small for me... It's my partner that's really 'in the driving seat' on this one so to speak. It'd have to be something she's happy with.

errr, I'll swap!!

You can have my Octy TDi (chipped) and I'll leave all the flashing lights and sirens fitted so that you can still have fun (at around 50mpg!!)

no cash either way....

sounds like a good deal to me

Dan, Give Brentacre a call re: insurance. Just a thought...

Have you got a good finance deal on the Octy? Although there's early settlement terms to consider if you've got a particularly poor interest rate it could pay to re-finance the Octy rather than re-finance on a different car. If the monthly payments are your main concern you could also consider extending the term but getting a loan that allows over payment so that once you've sorted out other debts you can bring the car payments back on track to end as originally. Unless you go to a considerably cheaper car then you won't be saving much.

If your monthly budget is already at it's limit then surely increasing borrowing on a credit card isn't a good idea unless it's 0% and you'll pay it off before next years renewal.

The finance on the octy's actually a pretty reasonable deal, and I don't want the hassle of refinancing, as when my house is sold I'll be paying it off anyway.

And CC is 0% I just hate to use them.

If your car isn't modified have you considered Liverpool Victoria as they don't take points from speeding into account on their premiums.

I know someone with a Boxter S who has 9 points and Liverpool Victoria were
