After owing a Skoda since 2003 thought it was time to join the forum.

My first was a 2003 Octavia 1.9TDi 110 ps Elegance Estate, which I purchased new - mainly to transort the dog ( Airedale terrier) and tow my caravan. Found the car about adequate towing so I had a digital power box fitted from PSI which pushed the power to around 135 bhp with loads of torque. The best tow car I'd ever owned. Magic - it made hills disapear.

After seven years the caravan gone & the dog died from Cancer I decided to get something a little better, so I moved onto a 2006 Superb 1.8T Classic Tiptronic -with just 20,819 miles on the clock & Full dealer history. A quick trip to my local VW tuning specialist and a remap with sports springs gave me 185bhp (tuner wouldn't recommend anymore with the auto box). Now that's a great car to drive but only gives around 29 mpg overall. Mind you it is rather quick

Just bought a 2010 Octavia 1.4TSI Elegance - manual so will be interesting to see how that goes along.!!
