Navigation radio DX removal from Skoda SuperB (Type 1) 2007

Featured Replies

Hi,

Does anyone knows how to remove the radio from a Skoda SuperB from 2007.

I think its a type 1 SuperB. The radio says DX at the front (With navigation)..

I am trying to install a USB MP3 player unit to the radio and want to plug it in the back of the radio.

I am able to take the front off which is mounted around the radio. Just pull it forward.

Then you can see the switches, radio and heater console.

When I remove the 6 screws I am unable to pull the radio forward.

It wont budge and I dont want to use to much force.

Does any one know how to take the radio unit out without breaking anything.

I need to do the same to plug my xcarlink into the back for my iPod.

I think it's the four blade keys that are needed - one for each corner, so I've ordered a set from eBay. If they're the right ones, and it all goes to plan, I'll take some pics.

If you disconnect the power to the head unit you will need the radio security code to re-activate it once refitted.
