Window Seal

Ive noticed this problem a little while back and forgot to ask if anyone else had this same thing.

The window seal on my car sounds very rough when i open and shut the window, and if it/s raining I get a mass of streaks down the window if ive opened it.

I remember cleaning my windows ages ago and I did give the seals a clean while is was at it, but i think it still sounded rough. Even to run my finger along the seal feels rough.

Is this how they are or do i need new seals? or is there a way to, i dunno, lubricate them?
