Tepremental Cruise Control, 05 vRS

Featured Replies

Good Evening.

I've had my Fabia a couple of weeks now and the cruise conrtol has just stared playing up. It was working fine on the way to work on Saturday, but on the way home it wouldn't turn on.

It only seems to work on every other journey, which seems really strange. Does anybody have any ideas. I dont really want to take it back to the garage as it will no doubt work for them.

Thanks in advance, Ryan

is it a factory fit or retrofit?

Factory fit to my knowledge.

Could be the brake pedal switch. If that's playing up the ecu thinks you're pressing the brake and cuts off the cruise control

There are switches on the brake and clutch pedals. If either plays up, the CC won't work.

Also, the contacts inside the switch itself wear and gain "crud" over time. You could try "foaming electrical contact cleaner" on it.

Do you mean "Turn On" or "Set" - I leave mine turned on permanently...

On my Audi which uses the same Stalk as the Fabia, its the stalk thats at fault with mine. I find the repeated operation of the set button it will eventually set and remain on.
