How about the army n navy travel lodge (cm2 7pu) on the outskirts of chelmsford at 3pm?? Stay until around 4pm to give everyone time if there's traffic and alike then move on to maldon for a few pics and stuff if people would like and grab some food around 6/7. I'm not to familiar with maldon so if anyone has suggestions regarding best place to eat then let me know and I'll contact the place.

Yes, it is that car park. It is pay and display and quite busy on Sunday afternoon due to lunch time at the restaurants on the corner.

I thought of this one as its easy to find and where the two main roads to chelmsford meet. Where would people prefere??

To be honest I think it's getting a bit late to start discussing locations as it's less than two days away and you'll never please everyone.

Kudos for taking over and setting a location, you can always move on if it's too busy there.

Family from Germany have arrived for a weeks holiday (only happens every two years) and I need to spend time with them.

Not quite sure what happened to this thread / meet, I thought this was still at the discussion / planning stage. I was awaiting a definitive date and plan with a "commit list". As B/F mentioned its a bit late re; venue discussions etc. Happy to support another meet, though the arrangements need to be a bit firmer and clearer for me. For that reason I'm out guys.

its not Dragons Den! Im sure a definate time and place could be arranged to stop the interest fading - I have family in essex and used to live there so would be quite up for a meet in essex pending date.

I wont head up the thread because I don't live hear and cannot promise to make the date but Ill do my best. If someone's happy to take over, book a firm place / date / time so people can agree or disagree. Then Im sure something will come out of it

Well Prept is on a Wednesday night (Brands Hatch) & there are the odd curry night meet ups locally, but generally most folks can't do week days so most meets are weekends.
