What's the most you've had in your boot?

Featured Replies

ooh err!

I had 13 packs of flooring the other week (probably 160-200kg), didn't even need to fold the seats down.

Works out about the same price as some lowering springs!

no pics I'm afraid but two lambs, glad I had some old blankets in there!

No pics either - but a cast iron bath once, in pieces.

3 boxed HP servers in the boot without dropping seats.

And once we supplied a whole startup business with kit, my car had about 30 laptops, docking stations, monitors, network kit etc.

Car was only a few weeks old but the contents were worth about five times what the car was.

I had 10 bags of gravel an 2 bags of cement. Around 250kg grounded tow bar on small speed bump.

Luckily only had to drive 2mile up road.

There was about 150kg of cement and stuff in the back here:

And a few months back I strapped a load of sheets of MDF to the roof - I suspect I was over the weight limit as it made the front tyres look soft :-o

The Wife, well most parts, some in the Glove Box, soon to be under the Patio

I carry roughly 10-12 pieces of test equipment, a laptop bag, and a few spare parts. Every day :D

Well I wasn't expecting that one! Are you Welsh?!

Fair play! Luckily I didn't have to drive far either, could notice the effect on the handling though.

Your car is low to begin with! The standard octy suspension is so soft it sags a little when I buy beers from Tesco.

Once got a three seater sofa in the back, did have to fold the seats down though. I'll try and find the pictures.

The sofa was first modified, using a bow saw and a sledgehammer.

Found a pic - I put some more air in the tyres before I dared move the car :)

Not Welsh, but worked for a farmer last year

3 corpses and a handfull of limbs.......

Joke!

A second vrs car interior including the carpet and door cards for mass space

My sub, 4 people 75kg average 300kg and luggage for 4 people for mass weight.

16 sheets of T&G chipboard (1.2m x 2.4m iirc), that was with the backseats down, the boot tied down.....

A fridge freezer when I moved house last year.

And a marshall head and cab, two PA speakers and a PA head, a 100w Bass amp and three guitars

i have had 30 roles of turf and towed a trailer tent at the same time

A 6 foot fridge freezer .had the bottom off the back seats out and the top part flat with the passenger seat right forward . My mate had to drive whilst i was squished against the dashboard and windscreen . Lol . The boot was open but not right open .

the usual...triple sofa. Fridge freezer. 3 people + computer stuff for a long weekend.

A Chest freezer, another time a washing machine machine with the seats up

Marshall 1960TV 4 X 12" speaker cab, Marshall JMP Master MkII 2204 amp head, Marshall JCM900 Dual Reverb amp head, Epiphone valve junior amp head, microphone box, six Mic. stands, large gig bag, 3 guitars in flightcases, a flightcased bass, Ampeg SV Pro bass head, a merchandise board, and four people in front with three rucksacks sharing the backseat. Would've fitted the drumkit in the rest of the car, were it not for the bass player and singer/rhythm guitarist slumming it in my ride.

i use my wagon as my work vehicle, so on a daily basis it has a large air compressor in the back seat area, and then a complete SMART repair set-up in the boot, with everything i could possibly need for car body repair

vans are completely overrated lol

not that heavy buit went from the front foorwell all the way back.

No need fopr a transit.

Had to remove the seats all together tho lol. Only a 5 min job

not the best pic, but this is what gets hauled around in my boot on a daily basis, my full SMART repair kit, plus theres an extra couple of boxes for my paint scheme etc

2012-05-12113323.jpg

and then this is what lives in the back seat area permanently

2012-02-03163646.jpg

and the back seat area now has various air lines, extension leads and masking material rolls crammed in there lol

i should make clear thats how it rolls daily, not occasionally ;)
