Martin if its ok with you and you dont mind, would you mind telling them what they said to you last time you was in there.

Yes about spending money...

So you got my PM then?

I've got an ongoing case with Skoda regarding the oil spill on my new drive.

They keep ringing me and asking if they can close the case but I keep saying no as I still haven't resolved it. Wish they would put so much effort into sorting the problems out.

Well it has been a week since the car was booked in. I get a phone call today from horners manchester advising the car is ready. I thought great, it was a really nice sunny hot day and i left work at 15.30 to get it. When I came to collect the guys I inspected it, the roof looked ok from what I could see, then I inspected the tailgate.

Not sure if i have mentioned it in this thread but theres 2 bits of paint coming off on either side of the tailgate trim. Guess what they forgot to do it so yet again ive left my car there in their "capable" hands. Im told it will be ready tomorrow. To top it all off on the way home I was in a traffic jam for 1.5 hours, in a classic spec octavia with no air conditioning. A great way to spend my afternoon.

A day after still not done as expected. They ended up leaving the keys in the trunk and couldnt get into the trunk because the tailgate trim was removed and it had locked itself?

Had to arrange me mum to be in to give them a spare set.

Let see what happens tomorrow.

Yes Horners Manchester Bodyshop.

On Saturday afternoon I went to Horners Manchester to pick up my car.

After closely inspecting the roof, the area has been repaired but you can see the line where the new paint meets the old paint. I do not believe the entire roof has been repainted as originally adivsed.

When a professional bodyshop carries out any bodywork a professional job is expected and I should not be able to tell the difference in the paints.

As regards to the paint on the boot one can still see the primer where the metal meets the plastic trim.

To top it all off they have scuffed my right/rear alloy wheel 4 inches across the rim. This was NOT done previously, metal chards are still intact to the alloy and it certainly is fresh.

When they call on Monday to check if I am satisfied with the job ill let them know what I think and will be writing into Skoda UK, can someone please provide the complaints address and of any names in Skoda they may be relevant.

The address for the Skoda Customer Service Centre is at the end of the thread below, along with the address of the Consumer Affairs Department of the SMMT should you remain dissatisfied with Skoda's handling of your warranty claim.

Surely that's not Skoda's call? I'd have thought the bodyshop would inspect the defect, and then either do the work that was needed and invoice it to Skoda warranties, or if authorisation was required, tell them what needed doing and then get it authorised...

Besides which, if it now looks like a right mess, it obviously did need all doing!

Rob.

The majority of bodywork claims have to have authorisation.

You get away with very little.

It is a computer that ok`s it first then it could request a visit from the area tech manager.

These are customer facing I am supprised that you have not seen one by now.

Ok well the first instance was when i was picking up my car after it had had a new power steering pump fitted under warranty as it died a death. This wasnt the first time my car had been in for warranty work but it was the most major, as i was picking up my keys i asked how much it cost, i got a reply of, "around

Right, I also complained today that the paint on the spoiler to skoda uk and was advised to take it back to the bodyshop to have it inspected. When I went there the other week to inspect the crap job they had done, I asked about the spoiler and was told any accessories are not covered. Accessory??? The spoiler is a standard part of the car!

Anyway as regards to the roof and boot Im told they will have a look at it to see if anything can be done to improve it. Your damn right they will.

So im told to go back to the bodyshop once more to be yet again f**ked about.

Im not taking it back, im not booking more annual leave off work, wasting my time and petrol because these cowboys are having a laugh. These are supposed to be trained professionals. Dont take your car to horners bodshop full stop. If they are going to inspect it they can come to me.

I went to the Horners bodyshop in Manchester. And i thought the guy there was a complete and utter **** I held back from hitting him thearrogant *****. The dealership in Manc are so good with their customers but the bodyshop suck big monkey balls.
