Oh yes forgot to mention the new gearstick is not as nice as the orginal. However the new gearbox as opposed to the orginal is a revelation. First to second gear change is a lot more improved. Road noise is much better and the general noise in the cabin is much less than my 2010 was.

Just had an update on the build week for my L&K it's now week 15 rather than week 17.

So the build would be 2nd week April - current UK delivery estimate is end of April, not so sure about that, but the likely hood is a May pick up.

Good news, then - although it can still shift either way, of course. Mine's still pencilled in for week 17 build as far as I know. We're away on a cruise the middle two weeks of May, so I'll be quite happy if it's not available until the end of that month (and I don't especially want to leave a brand-new car on the dockside at Harwich for two weeks if it came earlier!).

Surely it would be transported to the dealers?

Ordered my 1.2tsi Elegance on 18 Feb and after seeing the spreadsheet and some recent deliveries within 60 days I was hoping mine would be a similar time (or less). However have noticed that there has only been 1 delivery since Xmas and its now March. Have Skoda had an extended Xmas break or have people just not updated the sheet - preferably the latter!

It's mainly a question of people forgetting to tell me, they are having so much fun with their cars, the list is the last thing they think about.

I think delivery times are a bit all over the place at the moment, with the drop in sales for all makes of cars across Europe, the production line probably has more gaps in it currently, and orders can get pushed up the queue at short notice.

Well I now have a confirmed Build Week of Week 19 - good to have a date but hoping that when I ring in 3 or 4 weeks time the Dealer will say that Skoda have brought the date forward a few weeks. You can live in hope !!

My Yeti was made week 7 and I've just had a call from the dealer to say that it's arrived - I'm collecting it on Monday - so you can see that they seem to be moving them as quickly as possible considering how many must come in on each ship. :cocktail: Pity it didn't make in in time for my Wedding Anniversary on Saturday - what a present that would have been :love:

I've sorted out the insurance - very strange that a brand new Yeti Elegance DSG is the same money to insure as an old Honda HRV worth £750 - still not complaining

I had a similar experience - informed that vehicle was built on Feb 21then I heard earlier this week it was in Emden. I notice that there is s transporter vessel Auto pride shuttling to and fro to Sheerness. It's just a question of when now. :-)

The dealer has me down for end of march deal, but I think it's looking doubtful.

Your L&K is already at Emden? That's astonishing considering the L&K only became available to order from around the 21st January?

I had a telephone call today from Andy at Gordon Lamb, Chesterfield who told me that my build week was now week 13!

Agreed I picked it off the system, built last week in Feb so assume Skoda UK ordered a few and then released stock which was not needed.

Anyone here think that a larger dealership might be able to get a new Yeti any faster than a smaller one? Probably going to order today, but going to the smaller dealership with wait time of 16 weeks, which seems to be standard?
