Waiting List

The nearest dealer is 125 miles away, but I'm saving over £2k buying from a Midlands dealer so it was a no brainer for me :)

Plus of course the Midlands is just generally better than anywhere else ;) lol.

  • And finally I have a build week, albeit unconfirmed. Week 25...which is five weeks away so probably looking at early/mid July collection.

  • Hi All, New yeti collected today (2nd Jan) from Rainworth Skoda in Mansfield Regency green 170 elegance with Gobi and Annarpurnas. Well pleased with the new motor, far superior brakes to my old 140

I don't much fancy our nearest dealer for servicing either Splooter :notme:

Well its certainly cheaper

I've never been in that neck of the woods, but Peak District looks very picturesque.

Agreed. I have a couple of alternatives - go about 50 miles east to Victoria Garage at Maud (who serviced my VRS), or a bit further to Specialist Cars, Aberdeen. I guess your choices are a bit more limited.

I will likely head to Glasgow or Edinburgh to have mine serviced. Combine it with a visit to family or on my way to airport for a holiday.

I daren't make any comment about us being cheap down here then ;) ha.

excellent news for you Wilkenstein, perhaps it gives us all a little bit of hope.

Cheap! Perish the thought, I'm originally a midland bod. Maybe more of a 'value for money' type, allegedly a tad like our brethren north of the border :giggle:

There's no truth in the rumour that Scots are tight, although we are willing to travel to Englandshire to save a few thousand quid on our new cars

I'm not sure I'm even allowed North of the Border after my last visit ended up in a Sherrif's Court where they stole my driving licence ;) haha.

So beneath that rule spouting character there lurks a rebel......I knew it :giggle:

Sorry Marie, Tartans are not tight with money, just shrewd with cash.

No reference about the reason 50p coins had sides so you could use a spanner to get them of a scot or a midlander

Oh yes, I'm a badass Devil' Advocate :D

Ah well I never said rules weren't meant to be broken after all ;) ha. But shhhh don't tell anyone, I've got a rep to protect

West end at Uphall are very good in my experience. Handy for the airport too

Just phoned Skoda UK for an update on my L&K ordered on 4th March. As yet no build date allocated? Will phone me next week with an update.

My build week is Week 17 (from Wk19)

Just got a call that its at Emden waiting for a boat. Almost here now!

I shouldn't read all the posts as I'm now thinking of ordering some touch up paint when I pick

it up from the Dealers after reading about the number of stone chips some have

had.

Swmbo just has to come up with a name now

unless you come from Edinburgh....

I will be updating my photo as I picked up my Yeti this morning, and the Peak District is beautiful but don't tell everyone otherwise it will get too busy!

Great news Steve, they certainly do seem to be pulling their fingers out where possible then now.

I do struggle to believe a lot of this stuff about stone chips myself mind you, surely it just depends on how and where you drive really :S

I placed the order on the 14th March so in total that will be just over 6 weeks from order to collection ... happy with that :)

That's an improvement on the 6 MONTHS I had to wait for mine ordered Dec 2010. Things are getting better.

Fred

Has anybody heard anything about a delay/closed ordering on SE Plus spec Yetis?

I'm looking to order a 1.2 DSG SE Plus, but the dealer can't order it due to a problem with the Kristal upholstery in the SE Plus?

Is this a known issue (and if so, how much of a delay is it) or nonsense?

Thanks,

Warren

Is it true that they update/issue the build weeks on wednesdays?

Hoping I'll get some news tomorrow :'(

Delivery update;

My dealer confirmed today that my Greenline SE is now in the UK, and I should have it next week.

Ordered Week 8

Built Week 14

At Emden awaiting ship Week16

Arrived in UK Week 17

Expected Delivery Week 18

Ten weeks from order to delivery..... I hope!

My dealer called yesterday to inform me our car was due to be delivered yesterday! Last call from him was on 5th April say the car had been built on schedule and was waiting in Eden.

Going to call back this morning to arrange collection date - dealer is desperate to get this to me before the end of the month, so probably next Tuesday now - apparently they have 33 other cars to prep and get out the door before the end of the month - to hit registration targets I assume.

Ordered on 28th December. Built in build week 14; Waiting in Emden on build week 14; Delivered on build week 17; Collection on build week 18; 18 weeks from order to collection - it has felt a long wait.

That's my understanding according to my dealer.

My dealer seems to phone me on Tuesdays, which suggests he gets an update then...
