2 more days to go, like a kid at Christmas :-)

Popped out to the dealership today to check and sign the details for the registration document. They were hoping the car would have been with them by now, but it seems it's still at the docks awaiting release. They're now aiming to have it by Wednesday, with handover planned for next Saturday (giving them time to prep the car and get the MDI and mudflaps fitted).

Well, at long last it's here! Been to dealer today to complete the paperwork, and picking him/her up on Thursday morning.

So that's 8 weeks from order to delivery...exactly what the dealer guessed at back in February.

Completed all the paper work and paid on Friday - we had a sneak preview, but difficult to get excited as covered in white protective film. I couldn't persuade the dealer to fit the mudflaps FOC, so I have that to look forward to once we pickup - hope it is not too difficult.

We are collecting tomorrow evening, but still finding it all hard to believe after nearly 18 weeks wait. Just hoping that everything is present and correct.

What a miserable dealer! You bought the mudflaps from him I assume? - it's half an hours job..... Anyway, enjoy the new beast :-)

Picked up the little monster today. Smiles the whole drive home, some 500miles.

My collection date has been brought forward by a day, to around 4pm this Friday. I've just arranged my free 7-day insurance so it's all starting to fall into place.

Just had a call and the car is with the dealer who is trying to get it sorted for me to pick up Friday or Saturday - who's a happy bunny? :happy:

Just been informed mine has a provisional build week starting 13th May. Will be confirmed on 10th May. The wait continues.

Thanks Andrew, looks like they have fixed the delivery issues. My car arrived the evening of the 17th at Emden and was at the dealers today, 30th. I had expected that it would still be at Emden or was on it's way.

I completed the CRD via e-mail and sorted the 7 day insurance, by phone, and they e-mailed the cover note to dealer today. So the latest phone cal,l a little while ago, says maybe Thursday or Friday.

Just out of interest, did you receive a copy of the cover note by email? Chap I spoke to last night said that it would be emailed both to the dealership and to me, but I've not seen anything yet. So long as the dealership has it I'm not too worried, but it would be interesting to know.

Hi MOCAM, yes I did within about 15 minutes. I got confirmation mail form the dealers admin to say they had the cover note and were going to register the car for a year and one week so my renewal would be April 2014.

I also received the cover note by e-mail almost immediately, so maybe you should chase yours up?

Salesman has confirmed he has the cover note and will give me a printed copy at handover, so all sorted. Perhaps the guy I spoke to last night took my email address down wrong.

I'm loving it, just wish I'd got more time to play with it at the moment, it's still only done 25 miles 3.5 days after picking her up; bloody work.

I'm 20 mile each way to work with no traffic lights or roundabouts, so I'll enjoy the drive when I eventually get mine.

Yes I'm actually off 'work' work at present as writing a dissertation, so working from home, it'll all change in a couple of weeks though when I'm back to the day job & a 55 mile round trip, motorways, A & B roads, so can really start to give her a good going over ... And can't wait

Good and bad news for me.

L&K 170 ordered week 6, initially told would have it by week 16.

Week 14 I was told by SkodaUK that it would be built week 16.

Week 18,today I have been told it has left Emden and is on the boat.

So by current reckoning it will arrive at the dealer just as I step aboard the plane for a holiday in 'Costa del Sunburn'.

At least, I suppose my usual 'lobster complexion', on return from holiday, will match the Rosso Brunello paint job

I called SUK myself this morning but still no build week been allocated and we're over 5 weeks in.

Looking at other posts here it seems they're working their way through the March orders now so as I ordered on 25th March it should be allocated soon.

Its looking increasingly unlikely that it will be first week of June for collection though, so will most likely have to revise my provisional plans.
