Waiting List

Seems the boats may be slowing down

Think it's just pot luck.

Been to see my car at dealers today, prior to collecting it Monday. I don't know the exact dates involved but seems mine managed to catch a boat & hop on a transporter to dealer all within just a week or two - I must have a guardian angel!

  • And finally I have a build week, albeit unconfirmed. Week 25...which is five weeks away so probably looking at early/mid July collection.

  • Hi All, New yeti collected today (2nd Jan) from Rainworth Skoda in Mansfield Regency green 170 elegance with Gobi and Annarpurnas. Well pleased with the new motor, far superior brakes to my old 140

Seems the boats may be slowing down ... my dealer has confirmed that mine will be built next week, so when I suggested it should definitely be waiting for me when I get back from the St Petersburg cruise on 21 May, he just crossed his fingers and said that transport can be slow! In terms of getting maximum value out of the road tax, I may be better off hoping it is delayed so that I can take delivery on 1 June!

I've got the same confirmed build week or next week too and was told I could get it before my current MOT runs out on the vRS on the 10th May, so I hope your dealer's wrong there.

I hope you're right and I've got the same guardian angel there then!

I wish they would sort this out, brand new cars lying around at docks waiting for transportation for weeks is ridiculous in my opinion.

Collect mine in less than two weeks. Steel grey 170 4x4 :-)

When did you order out of interest? Was it a new build?

Ordered early January, about the 6th I think pick up 29th April! Quick turn around :-)

Called into my dealership today to drop off the retention document for its registration and discuss a few other matters. Apparently my car is also currently awaiting a boat. Dealer said that getting it shipped across is fairly straightforward - the variable factor is how long it takes to clear customs once it lands here. With the new registrations last month he said it was taking Customs up to 15 days to process cars, such was their backlog. He believes it should be better now, but says it's essentially in the lap of the gods. However, he's still hopeful that I could have the car by the end of this month. We shall see...

Mine is due to be built next week. Here's hoping that it manages to hook up with the transporter and boat and is ready for collection asap. Seems very arbitrary re delivery times so I'm keeping fingers crossed. Having to wait for it to be built is one thing but having to wait over 5 weeks for it to get to the dealer as some have would drive me nuts!!

Call from Prospect today,my L&K ordered on 26th February has been brought forward from week 21 to week 18. Not entirely sure of my week numbers but good news!

Told that it is week after next.

That's week beginning 29th April, so yes week after next.

Great news for you...exciting times

Whee! Telephone call today, new Yeti ready for collection Tuesday 23rd April 9.30am.

Still waiting........

Yippee! Just had the call, my Yeti is being delivered to the dealership tomorrow and I will be picking it up on Thursday.

Ordered 21 Jan, 2.0 TDI 170 Elegance, Muscavado with heated front screen, factory fit towbar and 5 year warranty.

Originally given an estimated build week of week 14, built a week earlier, cleared for dispatch from factory 2.4.13, sailed on the 14th and cleared customs on the 17th,

Can't wait to pick it up!

Woohoo, cant wait to see all the new yeti pics

I called Skoda Uk this morning, still no build date for mine as yet.

I ordered a Candy white 140 L&K Dsg on the 12th march and still don't have a build date. :(

Im gonna pop into the dealers at the end of the week and see if they have any news for me..

Maybe they ran out of white paint, hence no build week set for ours :wonder: :giggle:

Here's one for you all. I've just had a phone call from All Electric Skoda Birmingham about my Yeti order. It was scheduled for a build week of week 17, so this week. And expected for delivery mid-May.

Well it's ready, it's been built and will be with them on Weds of this week. I'm collecting it on Saturday. :D

Apparently they've had so many complaints over March that they've "got a real shift on" according to my dealer, so there you go.

Have anyone else had anything similar happen recently?

Great news!

When did you order yours Wilkenstein?

I placed the order on the 14th March so in total that will be just over 6 weeks from order to collection ... happy with that :)

That is impressive.

In theory my order should be eleven days behind yours but I know it doesn't work like that :(

6 weeks, wow. I'm seriously jealous now!

Yeah, I really don't get why it's so different for people, and why you guys are having to wait any longer :(

Fingers crossed you also get the phone call I got an hour or so ago anyway :D

I have no annual leave left to go down and collect mine until 1st June anyway, so don't really want it before then.

I'm also hoping to combine collection with a few days in the Peak District for landscape photography. Its a thousand mile round trip, might as well make the most of it!

Completely understand that, I won't mention that it's a about half a mile to my dealers then ;) hehe.

And I thought i had it tough having to wait 6 months to get a test drive in a Dsg Yeti!

500 miles it a hell of a long way.

Did you have to go that far to get a test drive Marie?

The nearest dealer is 125 miles away, but I'm saving over £2k buying from a Midlands dealer so it was a no brainer for me :)

Same here - nearest dealer is 40 miles away (same one as Marie's nearest) but I'll be making a 750 mile round trip to Yorkshire, and saving over £2700 ????
