I have a new pair of Uniroyal Rainsports to be fitted on Wednesday. I currently have a pair of half warn (5.5-6mm) Goodyear winter tyres on the rear, which were on front last winter.

Where should I put these new tyres that have nearly 9mm of tread? I know in theory I should have bought another pair of winters, but I don't want the hassle and expense of changing tyres from the rims each season.

    your car has ESP its not going to go sideways. if the above vehical was dont with a new octy vRS it wouldnt loose control. on snow there is miles less grip than slightly more worn rear tyres on the OP

You shouldn't mix winter and summer tyres. Unpredictable handling in different temperatures.
